2005-2014 yılları arasında üstün yeteneklilerin matematik eğitimi üzerine yapılan çalışmalar

Abstract

Amaç: Türkiye'de ve dünyada 2005-2014 seneleri içinde üstün yeteneklilerin matematik eğitimi ile ilgili yapılmış çalışmaları farklı alt amaçlara göre inceleyerek analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla 12 alt amaç oluşturulmuş ve bu alt amaçlara yönelik literatür taraması gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Yöntem: Bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan tarama desenlerinden olan belgesel tarama kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 5 veri tabanından elde edilen 101 çalışmadan oluşmuştur.

Bulgular: Verilerin betimsel analizleri sonucunda en fazla çalışmanın Amerika’da yapıldığı ve bu çalışmaların daha çok makale türünde yayınlandığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmalarda nicel çalışma yönteminin daha fazla tercih edildiği ve en fazla çalışmanın 2010 yılında üretildiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca nitel çalışmalarda en fazla durum çalışması, nicel çalışmalarda ise en fazla tarama çalışması gerçekleştirildiği görülmüştür. Karma çalışmalarda en fazla yakınsayan paralel yöntemlerin tercih edildiği ve amaç olarak en fazla matematik eğitimi kategorisinin hedef alındığı görülmüştür.

Sonuçlar ve Öneriler: Araştırmacılar üstün yeteneklilerin matematik eğitimi alanına daha çok yönlendirilmeli ve bu alanda daha çok çalışma yapılması sağlanmalıdır.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the studies about mathematics education of gifted students between 2004-2015 both in Turkey and the World in terms of sub-aims of the studies. For this purpose, 12 sub-aim categories were formed and literature was scanned according to those sub-aims.

Design & Methodology: Quantitative research method was used in this research. Documentary screening, one of the quantitative research methods, has been used. The sample of the study included 101 studies from 5 databases.

Findings: At the end of descriptive data analysis, it was observed that there were more foreign studies than national ones, specially the most productive country is USA and more foreign articles were produced. Quantitative methods were preferred and the most productive year was 2010. Additionally, case studies were reported to be the mostly preferred qualitative study, and screening studies were the mostly encountered quantitative studies. In mixed studies convergent parallel methods were mostly used and the most frequent aim was mathematics education.

Implications & Suggestions: Researchers should be more oriented to mathematics education of the gifted and more products should be uncovered in this area.
