İmge kullanımının okul şarkılarının öğretimindeki başarıya etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; imge kullanımının okul şarkılarının öğretiminde ne ölçüde etkili olduğunu tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla araştırmada yöntem olarak kontrol gruplu öntest- sontest deneysel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Buna göre araştırmanın çalışma gruplarını; Malatya İlinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı ?Ali Rıza Aydos?, ?Şehit Asteğmen Feyzullah Taşkınsoy?, ?Emine Nezihe Parlak? ve ?Gazi? İlköğretim Okulları, 4.sınıf (n=120) öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, öğrenci kişisel bilgi toplama formu, öntest-sontest değerlendirme ölçeği ve imge destekli okul şarkıları öğretiminde kullanılan bilişsel ölçme formları kullanılmıştır. Buna göre öğrenciler; 2011?2012 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılı, Güz Yarıyılında dört ilköğretim okulunda deney ve kontrol gruplarına ayrılarak araştırmacı tarafından altı hafta ve haftada iki ders saati süresince, deney grubuna (n=60) imge destekli, kontrol grubuna (n=60) ise MEB müfredat programında yer alan tekniklere dayalı okul şarkıları eğitimi verilmiştir. Araştırmada deney gruplarında kullanılmak üzere, görsel ve işitsel algıların imgelem yoluyla desteklenerek aktif bir öğrenme sağlamayı amaçlayan, her bir okul şarkısının içeriği ile doğrudan bağlantılı animasyon ve videolar hazırlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, ilk olarak hazırlanan video ve animasyonlarda, okul şarkılarının sözel imgelerini temsil eden video görüntüleri ile resimler belirlenmiştir. İkinci sırada ise okul şarkılarına ait işitsel imgelerin, şarkı notalarının çoksesli bir dokuya dönüştürülmesi yoluyla zenginleştirilerek Logic Studio programında dikkat çekici bir hale getirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Son aşamada ise hazırlanan görsel ve işitsel imgeler, Flash CS5 animasyon programında bir araya getirilerek okul şarkıları öğretiminde kullanılacak eğitim-öğretim materyalinin hazırlanma aşaması tamamlanmıştır. Kontrol gruplarında ise geleneksel okul şarkıları öğretim yöntemlerinden ?kulaktan şarkı öğretimi? kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizleri SPSS.17 paket programıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda; a)İmge destekli okul şarkıları öğretiminde dayalı okul şarkıları eğitimi verilen deney grubuyla, geleneksel okul şarkıları öğretimine dayalı okul şarkıları eğitimi verilen kontrol grubunun öntest-sontest değerlendirme ölçeği, sontest puanları arasında tüm okullarda p<.05 anlamlılık düzeyinde deney grubu lehine farklılaşma olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. b)Öntest-sontest toplam puanları ANOVA sonuçlarına bakıldığında, Demografik değişkenlerden dinlediği müzik türü sayısı, aile aylık gelir düzeyine ve anne meslek durumuna göre anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, it is aimed to assess how effective the use of images is in terms of teaching the school songs. For this purpose, pretest-posttest experimental method of scientific investigation with a control group is used as a method. The work groups are 4th grade students (n=120) from the schools of National Education Ministry such as ?Ali Rıza Aydos?, ?Şehit Asteğmen Feyzullah Taşkınsoy?, ?Emine Nezihe Parlak? and ?Gazi? Primary Schools. As a data collection tool, personal data gathering forms, pretest-posttest rating scale, cognitive rating forms used in image-based school songs. Therefore, the students of these four schools in the autumn, 2011-2012 years of education were separated into the control and experimental groups. The researcher instructed the image-based school chants to the experimental group (n=60), and the ones within the techniques that belong to ministry of education curriculum to the control group (n=60) 2 lesson-times per week in a six weeks period. In the study, animations and videos that provide active learning and are directly related with the content of every school song were prepared with the help of supporting audiovisual perception by imagination in order to use them in experimental groups. In this purpose, video motions and pictures that synchronically support the meaning of lyrical images in school songs were firstly designed. Secondly, by turning the audio images, their song notes into the polyphonic patterns and making them richer, they were designed as attention-grabbing via the software program of Logic Studio. Lastly, these audiovisual images were combined by Flash CS5 animation software program, so the material development step for training school songs was finally over. On the other hand, ?teaching songs by pick-up?, which is one of the traditional methods of training school chants, was applied for the control group. The analyses of this research were performed by the SPSS.17 software program. By the use of findings from this research: a)The posttest points from the pretest-posttest rating scale of the experimental group which received the training of the image-based school chants, and the control group which got the traditional methods of training school chants showed a difference within the significance level as p<.05 in favor of experimental group at all the schools. b)Given the total points of pretest-posttest, ANOVA results; it is concluded that the number of music kinds displayed a significant difference in accordance with monthly income rate of the families, and the occupation of mothers due to the demographical variances.
