Türk toplumunda at, sosyal ve kültürel açıdan önemli bir değere sahiptir. Bu değer, Türk sanatına da doğrudan doğruya yansımıştır. Türk resim sanatının gelişmesiyle sanatçılar, at figürünü farklı teknik ve yorumlarla eserlerinde işlemeye başlamışlardır. Böylece at figürü, sanat eserlerinde vazgeçilemeyen bir imge haline gelmiştir. Resim sanatı içinde tek bir konu üzerine çalışılsa da her sanatçının farklı yorum ve tarzı ön plana çıkmıştır. Birçok sanatçı, doğaya ait bir varlık olan at figürünü kendi özgün yorumları ile ele alarak Türk resim sanatına zenginlik kazandırmıştır. Her bir sanatçı at figürüne kendi dünyasında farklı bakış açılarıyla kapı aralamış ve kendince anlamlandırmıştır. Böylece at, Türk resim sanatı içinde birçok sanatçının yorumuna tabi tutularak, plastik anlamda zengin bir figür niteliği taşımaktadır. Bu araştırmada, at görünümlerinin Türk resim sanatı içerisindeki yeri ve önemi incelenerek, araştırmacının at konusu üzerine resimler yapması ve bunların çözümlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. At görünümünü Türk resim sanatı içinde ele alan bu tez, üç bölüm ve sonuç kısmından oluşmaktadır. Tezin ilk bölümünde "Atın Morfolojisi" ve "Türk Kültürü İçinde Atın Yeri" ele alınmış, ikinci bölümde "Resim Sanatı İçinde At İmgesi" başlığı ile Batı resim sanatı ve Türk resim sanatı içinde at imgesi teması incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise tez kapsamında yapılan at konulu çalışmaları ve bu çalışmaların çözümlemelerine yer verilmiştir. Bu süreçte, on tanesi eskiz olmak üzere toplam yirmi üç adet yağlıboya tekniği ile uygulamalar yapılmıştır. Çalışmaların her birinin ayrı ayrı plastik açıdan çözümlemesi yapılarak belirli bir sonuca ulaşılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: At Figürü, Türk Resim Sanatında At, İmge.
The horse has an important social and cultural value in Turkish society. This value is directly reflected in Turkish art. With the development of Turkish painting, artists started to use the horse figure in their works with different techniques and interpretations. Thus, the horse figure has become an important image in the works of art. Although a single subject is studied in the art of painting, different interpretations and styles of each artist have come to the fore. Many artists have enriched the Turkish painting by taking the horse figure which is a natural entity with its original interpretations. Artists approached the horse figure from different perspectives in their own world and made sense in their own way. Thus, the horse is subject to the interpretation of many artists in the Turkish painting art and has the character of a rich figure in plastic sense. In this research, the place and importance of horse figures in Turkish painting is examined and it is aimed that the researcher made paintings about horses and analyzed them. This thesis, which deals with horse images in Turkish painting, consists of three chapters and conclusion. In the first part of the thesis, ''Morphology of the Horse'' and ''The Place of the Horse in Turkish Culture'' are discussed. In the second part, the theme of horse painting in Western painting and Turkish painting is examined with the title of ''Horse Image in the Art of Painting''. In the third part, the studies about horses and the analysis of these studies are given. In this process, twenty-three oil painting techniques were applied, ten of which were sketches.
