Geleneksel evler, yüzyıllar boyu devam eden kültür birikimleri ile geçmişe tanıklık yaparak gelecekteki kültürel üretime katkı sağlamaktadırlar. Modern mimariye geçişle birlikte geleneksel Anadolu mimarisinin temelinde yer alan kültürel ögelerden bazıları yok olmaya başlamıştır. İnsan, toplum, kültür açısından incelenen geleneksel Malatya evleri, kendine has sivil mimari özelliklerini korumakla birlikte, hızla değişen kültürel ortam, nüfus artışı, çarpık kentleşme, tüketim kültürü vb. nedenlerden dolayı hayatta kalma mücadelesi vermektedir. Bu çalışma, Geleneksel Anadolu mimarisinde hala gözlenebilen yaşanmışlık ve geçmişe duyulan özlem, teknoloji ile toplum hayatına giren nesnelere vurgu yapılarak, bu nesnelerin resimsel bir imgeye dönüştürülmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmalarında mimariyi konu alan sanatçıların eserleri ele alındığında, mimarideki değişimin bu resimlerine yansıdığı görülmektedir. Resimlere kaynaklık eden Türk ve Batı sanatçıları incelenerek, teknikleri ile ilgili örneklerle bilgi verilmiştir. İncelenen yağlıboya resimlerde geleneksel evlerin güzelliği ve biçim-içerik ilişkisi üzerinde durulmuş, çalışmalar oluşturulurken kurgulanan kompozisyon, kullanılan renk, oluşturulan doku ile ilgili açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde, Malatya ilinin tarihçesi, coğrafyası ve beşeri durumu hakkında genel açıklamalara yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, geleneksel Anadolu evleri ve geleneksel Malatya evlerinin genel özellikleri verilip kullanılan yapı malzemelerine değinilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, evlerin değişimi pozitivist felsefe, yabancılaşma, tüketim kültürü gibi kavramlar ışığında alınmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise yabancılaşma ve tüketim kültürü ile oluşan estetik değerler çerçevesinde, somuttan soyuta bir anlatı dili oluşturma sürecindeki kompozisyon özellikleri, plastik bir tavırla oluşturulan uygulamaların çözümlemeleri yapılmıştır. Toplamda yağlıboya tuval 14 resim çalışılmıştır.
Traditional houses have contributed to cultural production by witnessing history with its cultural accumulation throughout the centuries. Some of cultural elements that are underlied of Anatolian architecture have started to disappear with transition of modern architecture. Malatya houses that are analysed from the aspect of human, society and culture have been fighting for its' life because of rapidly changing cultural environment, population increase, unplanned urbanization and consumption culture while it has protected its own unique civil architecture. This study has been made with the intention of be transformed to a pictorial idea of these objects by highlighting the life experience that is still observed in Traditional Anatolian architecture, nostalgia and the objects comes into society's life with technology. Considering the works of artists who use to architecture in their works, it is seen that the changing in architecture have reflected in these works. Turkish and West artists, who are resource, researched and it is given information with examples about its techniques. It is given importance the relationship of the beauty of traditional houses in oil paintings that are researched and its shape-content and when works were made, explained the composition that was fictionalised, colour that was used, tissue that was formed. The work is formed from four parts. In first part, it is given information about the history of Malatya, its geography and its human status. In second part, it is touched on building materials that were used by giving general characteristics of traditional Anatolian houses and traditional Malatya houses. In third part the changing of the houses is treated from the positivist philosophy, alienation, consumption culture. Alienation and consumption culture within the frame of aesthetic values, the composition features in process of generating a from concrete to abstract exposition and the analysis of implementations that were formed with a plastic attitude were performed.
