1929 dünya ekonomik buhranı sonrası Birleşik Krallık'ta siyasal ve toplumsal dönüşüm

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 1929 Dünya Ekonomik Buhranı'ndan itibaren günümüze kadar geçen sürede Birleşik Krallık'ta siyasal ve toplumsal dönüşümün ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla sürdürülen çalışmada, tarihsel ve betimsel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. 1929 Dünya Ekonomik Buhranı klasik liberal ekonominin başarısızlığı neticesinde ortaya çıkmış ve ardından İkinci Dünya Savaşı meydana gelmiştir. Gelişmiş devlet yapısı, ekonomisi ve demokrasisiyle küresel gelişmelere yön veren Birleşik Krallık'ta, savaş sonrası dönemde Keynesyen ekonomik model uygulanmıştır. 1979 yılına kadar hakim ekonomik model çerçevesinde İngiliz siyasetindeki gelişmeler dikkat çekicidir. Sonrasında gerçekleşen karşı neoliberal devrim ile refah devleti kurumlarına karşı mücadele başlatılmış ve bunun Birleşik Krallık siyasal ve toplumsal yapısı açısından sonuçları olmuştur. Ayrıca, Magna Carta Libertatum ile başlayan süreçle şekillenen anayasal düzen siyasal ve toplumsal dönüşüm açısından fikirler sunmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, çalışmanın birinci bölümünde; Birleşik Krallık'ta toplumsal ve ekonomik yapı irdelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde; Birleşik Krallık'ın siyasal yapısı ortaya koyulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde; Büyük Buhran'ndan itibaren uyulanan Keynesyen politikalar ve refah devleti ışığında, Birleşik Krallık ekonomik ve siyasal anlamda irdelenmiştir. The aim of this study is to reveal the political and social transformation in the United Kingdom since the 1929 World Economic Depression. In this study, historical and descriptive research methods were used. The World Economic Depression of 1929 emerged as a result of the failure of the classical liberal economy, followed by the Second World War. The Keynesian economic model was applied in the post-war period in the United Kingdom, which has shaped global developments with its developed state structure, economy and democracy. Until 1979, developments in British politics within the framework of the prevailing economic model are remarkable. Then the counter-neoliberal revolution and the struggle against the welfare state institutions were initiated, which had consequences for the UK's political and social structure. In addition, the constitutional order shaped by the process that started with Magna Carta Libertatum presents ideas in terms of political and social transformation. In this context, in the first part of the study; Social and economic structure in the United Kingdom has been examined. In the second part; The political structure of the United Kingdom has been put forward. In the third section; In the light of Keynesian policies and the welfare state adopted since the Great Depression, the United Kingdom was examined in economic and political terms. In the fourth section; The transformation in the United Kingdom has been demonstrated.
