11-19 yaş grubu tip I diabetes mellitus'lu çocuklarda özbakım

Abstract

Öz:Bu çalışma 11-19 yağ grubu Diabetes Mellituslu çocukların öz-bakımlarını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmış tanımlayıcı bir niteliktedir. Araştırmanın evrenini İnönü Üniversitesi Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesine Ocak 96-Aralık 96 tarihleri arasında müracat eden ve tip I Diabetes Mellitus tanısı konmuş toplam 31 çocuk oluşturmuştur. Evrenin tamamı araştırma kapsamına alınarak, anket formu araştırmacı tarafından bizzat uygulanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında bireylerden izin alınarak anket formu ve görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda; Çocukların % 90'ının insülinlerini kendilerinin yaptığı ve % 87'sinin düzenli yaptığı, % 71'inin diyetlerine dikkat ettikleri ve % 68'inin sağlığı söz konusu olduğunda alışkanlıklarını bırakabilecekleri ve %90'ının sağlığının daha iyi olması için gereken çabayı gösterdikleri bulunmuştur.

This study is a defining investigation made in order to evaluate the self-care of the insuline dependent children between the ages of 11 and 19. 31 children, having applied to İnönü Üniversty Turgut Özal Medical Center within a year and having been diagnosed " type I diabetes", have costituted the universe of the investigation. The sample of the investigation was made up of the children with the diagnosis of " type I diabetes mellitus" who were obtained from the hospital archives; their telephone numbers and addresses were obtained the survey form was filled out by the investigator by visiting them in their houses and interviewing them. The survey form and the technique of interviewing were used in obtaining the data. As a result of the evaluation of the data, it has been found out that the 90 % of the children inject insuline by themselves, and that the 87 % of the children do it regularly, 71 % of them pay attention to their diets, and that 68 % of them will stop their bad habits when their health is concerned; and that 90 % of them try hard to have a better health.
