Malatya İli Sığır, Koyun ve Keçi Yetiştiriciliğinin Mevcut Durumu

Abstract

Öz:Bu derlemenin amacı, Malatya ilinde hayvancılık sektörüne ilişkin özellikle sığır, koyun ve keçi yetiştiriciliğiyle ilgili güncel verileri ve potansiyeli ortaya koymaktır. Türkiyenin tarım ve hayvancılık sektörü içinde Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi özellikle hayvancılık açısından önemlidir. Malatya, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinin en kalabalık illerinden biri olup, ekonomisinde tarımın yanında hayvancılık faaliyetleri de önemli yer işgal etmektedir. Bu nedenle ilin hayvancılık sektörünün, özellikle sığır, koyun ve keçi varlığı açısından, mevcut durumunun ve potansiyelinin belirlenmesi önem taşımaktadır. Sonuç olarak, Malatya ili özellikle sığır, koyun ve keçi varlığı, hayvansal üretim özellikleri ve istihdama sağladığı katkı bakımından hayvancılıkta pozitif özellikler taşımaktadır. Buna karşın; Türkiyenin genel hayvancılık problemlerinden ve yanlış uygulamalardan diğer illerde olduğu gibi olumsuz etkilenmektedir.

Abstract:The purpose of this review is to explain the up-to-date data and the potential related to livestock sector, especially in cattle, sheep and goat breeding in Malatya province. Eastern Anatolia Region, Turkey's agriculture and livestock sector, is significant in terms of livestock production. Malatya has been one of the most crowded cities in Eastern Anatolia Region in which agriculture and animal breeding occupies an important place in its economical activities. Therefore, determining livestock sector s current situation and its potential is important in terms of cattle, sheep and goat breeding. As a result, Malatya has positive characteristics in livestock sector in respect to the number of cattle, sheep and goat stock, the traits of animal production and the contribution to the employment ratio. However, similar to the other cities, Malatya has been negatively influenced by livestock problems and inapproriate practices.
