Bu çalışmada, İlköğretim Fen Bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine karşı tutum düzeylerinin
belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Örneklemi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören 125 son
sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Adaylara 20 olumlu, 15 olumsuz sorudan oluşan ve güvenirlik katsayısı 0,69
olarak hesaplanan “Öğretmenlik Mesleği Tutum Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS programı
kullanılmıştır. Sonuçta cinsiyetin ve mezun olunan lise türünün adayların tutumları üzerinde bir farklılığa
sebep olmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra örneklemi oluşturan öğretmen adaylarının tutum düzeylerinin
çok da olumsuz yönde gelişmemiş olduğu belirlenmiş ancak sahip oldukları tutum düzeyinin arttırılmasının
daha faydalı olacağı kanaatine varılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to investigate prospective science teachers’ attitudes towards the profession of
teaching. Sample of the study was chosen from the Department of Primary Science Teacher Education. In
order to determine prospective science teachers’ attitudes “Profession of Teaching Attitude Scale” was used.
The reliability coefficient for the scale was found as 0,69. Data were analyzed using SPSS program. As a
result, it is found that gender and high school factors don’t affect the beliefs. After results it was concluded
that it will be useful to improve their attitudes because of the importance of attitude concept in teaching.
