Abstract:Bu araştırmada İngilizce öğretmen adaylarının Top luma Hizmet Uygulamaları (TH U) dersindeki kazanımlarına ait görüşlerinin belirlemesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya 2011-2012 akademik yılı bahar döneminde İstanbul ilinde bir vakıf üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İngilizce Öğretmenliği Lisans Programı 3. sınıfında öğrenim görmekte olan 28 İngilizce öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarından Top luma Hizmet Uygulamaları dersi çerçevesinde uygulama yap tıkları her haf tanın sonunda uygulama detaylarını, kendi p erf ormanslarını, yaşadıkları süreçleri ve uygulamanın kazanımlarına ilişkin görüşlerini yansıtan rap or yazmaları istenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarından elde edilen görüşler, içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda çalışmaya katılan öğretmen adaylarının TH U dersinin kişisel, mesleki, duygusal ve sosyalleşme boyutlarında kendilerini geliştirdiklerine yönelik bulgular tesp it edilmiştir.
Abstract:The p urp ose of this study was to determine p rosp ective English language teachers views on their attainment in community service p ractices course. The samp le included 28 p rosp ective English language teachers maj oring in English Language Teaching in the Faculty of Education at a f oundation university in İstanbul, Turkey. The data were collected during the sp ring term of the 2011-2012 academic year. The p articip ating p rosp ective English language teachers were asked to write rep orts which involved details about their p ractices and their p ersonal views on their own p erf ormances, the p rocesses they had been through and their attainment. Content analysis was used in the interp retation of the rep orts obtained f rom the p articip ants. It was f ound that some p ersonal, p rof essional, emotional and social attainments in community service p ractices course were rep orted by the p articip ants.
