Üniversite sınavına girecek öğrencilerin meslek seçimini etkileyen sosyo-kültürel faktörler: Malatya'daki lise son sınıf öğrencileri uygulaması

Abstract

Bu tezin hazırlanmasındaki amaç , Malatya ilindeki lise son sınıf öğrencilerinin, meslek seçimini etkileyen faktörlerin(sosyo - ekonomik ve kültürel ) neler olduğunu ortaya çıkarmaktır. Günümüz dünyasında , ortaya çıkan baş döndürücü değişimden dolayı , gelecekle ilgili verilecek kararın önemi oldukça artmıştır. Bu anlamda, meslek tercihi yapacak olan gençlerin, kendisini ve yaşadığı toplumu çok iyi tahlil ed ip karar vermesi gerekmektedir. Genç bireyler tarafından verilecek olan yanlış karar, kendilerini telafisi mümkün olmayan bir durumla karşı karşıya bırakabilir. Bu nedenle meslek tercihini yapacak olan genç birey le birlikte, bu süreçte bulunan ve etkili olan, öğretmenler, anne - babalar ve bu süreçte bulunan diğer kişiler, meslek seçimini etkile yen faktörleri iyi kavra yarak, meslek seçimini sağlıklı yapılmasına yardım etmelilerdir Bu amaç doğrultusunda, konuyla ilgili, öğrencilerle, öğretmenlerle, anne - babayla yapılan görüşme , gözlem, bununla birlikte yapılan kaynak taraması ve daha önceden yapılmış ola n tez çalışmaları incelenerek, tezin hipotezi oluşturuldu . Meslek seçimini etkileyen faktörlerden, ailenin kültürel yapısı, anne - babanın mesleği ve eğitim durumu, ailenin ekonomik yapısı, cinsiyet, yaşanılan yerin demografik özellikleri, okunulan lise t ürü ve üniversiteye hazırlanılan alanla, meslek seçimi arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmada elde edilen bulgularla objektif bir şekilde açıklanmaya çalışıldı . Malatya ilinde , farklı türden ve farklı sosyo - ekonomik ve kültürel bölgelerden belirlenen liseler in son sınıfında okuyan öğrencilerine, hazırlanan anket uygulandı . Uygulanan anket ler in değerlendirmesinde elde edilen bulgular, tezin hipotezine uygun bulgular olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu araştırma da elde edilen bulgular , sosyo - ekonomik ve kültürel faktörlerin öğrencin in meslek seçimini etkilediğini ve bu bulguların, birey ve toplum için yaşamsal fonksiyon taşıyan mesleğin, doğru bir şekilde tercih edilmesinde, öğrenci , öğretmenler ve anne - babalar için önemli bulgular olduğu düşünülmektedir .

The aim of this thesis is to work out the social - economical and cultural factors effecting profession choice of the last gr ade high school students in Malatya. In today's world, due to the duzzling change in living standarts, the importance of decesions about future has become increasingly important. With respect to this point, teenagers who are going to make a choice about t heir profession should deeply examine themselves and the society in which they live before making a decesion. Wrong decision about it makes the teenager oppose with a situaton that is hard to handle. So, along with the teenager himself, teachers, parents and anybody included in the process should truely understand/grasp the factors effecting the profession choice and give necesarry help for a healthy choice In order to attain this goal, the thesis' hypothesis is made through conversetion with related stud ents, teachers and parents and through observation, investigation of sources and study of previously prepared thesis works. The relation between the profession choice and the factors effecting profession choice, such as family's cultural state, professio n and education level of parents, family's economişcal condition, gender, demographic features ov surrounding, the type of the high school and of the field in which the student is preparing for university is tried to be explained in view of the findings ob tained in the course of investigation. A public survey is conducted with the last grade students from different background in Malatya city. It has become apperent that the results from the survey are consistent with the thesis' hypothesis. The findings o f this study tell us that socio - economical and cultural factors effect the student's profession choice; and these findings also tell us that student himself, teachers and parents are very important for a healthy choice of a profession which has a great function for the individual and society.
