Figure interpretations

Abstract

Bu çalışmayla; geçmişten günümüze kadar resim sanatında önem bakımından önde gelen figür kavramının değişim evreleri, kullanım şekilleri ve sunduğu olanaklar üzerinde durularak, figür kavramının ulaştığı noktalar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Sözü edilen süreçler içinde önde gelen sanatçıların eserlerinde, figür anlayışlarında farklılıklar net bir şekilde gözlemlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Toplumların içinde bulunduğu sosyal-ekonomik durumlar, coğrafi konum, toplumsal atmosfer, savaşlar, gündelik yaşam, hızlı kentleşme, teknolojik gelişmeler ve kültürel yapıdaki değişimler sanattaki üslup oluşumlarını etkilemiş, bu da resim sanatındaki figürlerin işlenişine etki etmiştir. Bu nedenle figür çalışmalarının, içinde bulunduğu dönemin üslup özelliklerini yansıttığı gözlemlenmiştir. Figür, doğaya uygun gerçekçi bir anlatımla betimlendiği gibi, stilize edilerek, soyutlanarak hatta hayvan ve bitki biçimlerine dönüştürülüp fantastik boyutlar kazandırılarak da betimlenmiştir. Sanatın tarihsel değişim sürecinde sanata yaklaşımlar ne kadar değişirse değişsin, figürün önemini azaltmamıştır. Tarihsel süreç içinde (Resim Sanatında) ele alınan figür, mağara döneminden başlayarak günümüze kadarki yorumlarıyla incelenmiştir. Üslupların anlaşılması için dönemlerdeki sanatçının ruhsal yapısı, içinde bulunduğu toplumun estetik değerleri ve beğenileri ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Belirlenen konu ilk başta çok geniş olduğu düşünülebilir; ancak özellikle, figürün ön plana çıktığı Rönesans'tan başlayarak günümüze kadar figürün değişim, gelişim süreci ve dünya sanatında kabul görmüş figür örnekleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. İncelemeler sonucu elde edilen bilgiler ışığında, uygulama çalışmaları yapılarak, figür farklı kompozisyonlarda yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmayla ele alınan figür kavramı, eserin yaratıldığı tarihin, coğrafyanın, uygarlığın ve kültürün bir parçası olduğu gerçeği dikkate alınarak tarihin her döneminde, figür yorumlamaları, içinde bulunulan sosyal-ekonomik yapıyla ilintili olduğu gözlemlenmektedir.iv Resim sanatında figürü ele alıp öne çıkan sanatçılar takip edilip etkilenmelerle bireysel fikirler oluşmuştur. Bu fikirler doğrultusunda eskizler yapılıp, sahip olunan fikirler sorgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu sorgulamanın sonucunda oluşturulmuş olan kurgular ve düşünülen etkiler tuval üzerinde yakalama sürecine girmiştir. Uygulama çalışmalarında eskizlerle belirlenen kompozisyonların varlığı, mekânın geometrik yapısı, yatay-dikey karşıtlıkları, figür ve nesnelerin biçim-içerik, renk, doku etkileri, yağlıboya tekniğiyle resmedilmiş ve çözümlemeleri yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda figür yorumlamaları, çalışmada yer alan bölümler ışığında genel bir sonuca ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Geçmişten günümüze kadar sıklıkla kullanılan figür konusu birçok sanatçı tarafından ele alınmıştır. Hazırlanan çalışmaların bu sürekliliğe katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

With this work; it is tried to be set the final points of the leading figure concept's reached, which is important, by focusing on changing of phases, usage types and enabled opportunities on pictural art, from past to present. It is tried to be observed clearly that the differences on understandings of figure concepts on the works of leading artists during this time. The socio-economic conditions of the societies, geographical conditions,social atmosphere, wars, daily living style, rapid urbanization, technological improvements and the changings on the cultural structure effected the style developments on art so this effected the handling the figures on pictural art. Because of this, it's observed that figure works reflects the properties of its time. Figure, is described with a natural realistic narration and it is also described by stylizing, being isolated, also converting into animal and plant figures and gaining fantastic dimensions. In the historical changing process of art, no matter how the approaches to art change, this doesn't make the figure less important. In the historical process ( on pictural art) the dealing figure is analysed from the age of caveman until today. In order to understand the styles, It is tried to be dealt with the artist's state of mind, the societies esthetic values and likes It can be thought at first sight the choosen topic is very wide; but especially beginning from the Renaissance when the figure became important to present, the figure's changing and improving process and accepted figure samples on the world art are tried to be anaysed. At the end of the researches, the figure is tried to be interpreted in different compositions by doing appliance work, The figure concept discussed with this work is observed which is connected with the present socio-ecenomic structure by considering the fact that it's a part of work's date, geography, civilization and culture, in every period of time.vi On pictural art, personal ideas are formed by following the leading artists, who discussed the figure. With these ideas, sketches are made and possesed ideas are tried to be critisized. These fictional ideas and proposed effects which are created at the end of this criticism are in the process of reflecting on a canvas. Existence of the compositions defined with the sketches on applications, geometric structure of the place, vertical-horizontal contrasts, figure and objects' form-content, colour, fabric effects are painted with oil colour and analyzed. As a result of this work, a general result is tried to be set with the light of figure interpretations and parts of the work. Figure which is often used from past to present, discussed by many artists. It is thought that these organized works contribute to this continuousness.
