dc.description.abstract A glass in the BiSrCaCuO (BSCCO) system with nominal Bi1.4Tl0.6Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+y composition, prepared by the melt-quench (glass) method. Using an analysis already developed for non-isothermal crystallisation studies, based on DTA, TGA and DSC, information on some aspects of crystallization has been obtained. The result obtained indicated that substitution of the Tl for Bi increased the activation energy for crystallisation and enhanced the Superconducting phase formation largely. © 1994.
