dc.description.abstract Hydatid disease caused by Echinococcus granulosis is an endemic problem in many parts of the world and the liver is the most frequently involved organ. A suitable experimental model for hydatid disease of the liver, resembling naturally infected livers, is established in this study by injection of protoscolices via the mesenteric vein of the mice. This model can be used in assessment of the efficacy of various agents in treatment of hydatid disease of the liver.
