The cation in the title compound, C23H23N2+.Cl-.H2O, features a benzimidazole ring connected to two 4-methyl-benzyl rings via methyl-ene bridges. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-(HO)-O-..., C-(HCl)-Cl-... and O-(HCl)-Cl-... hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, leading to a three-dimensional framework. |
