Bu çalışmanın amacı; ilköğretim 7. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersindeki ?Çevre ve İnsan? ünitesinde yer alan ?Küresel Isınma? konusunun Proje Tabanlı Öğretim modelinde incelenerek, bu modelin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına ve Fen ve Teknoloji dersine karşı tutumlarına etkisini incelemektir. Bu çalışma, Malatya ilinde yer alan Sümer İlköğretim Okulu, Fatih İlköğretim Okulu ve Özel Turgut Özal İlköğretim Okulunda uygulanmıştır. Uygulamaya toplam 140 öğrenci alınmıştır. Araştırma ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel modelde incelenmiştir. Proje tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımının öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına etkisini ve Fen ve Teknoloji dersine karşı tutumlarını incelemek için her okulda rasgele yöntemiyle bir deney ve bir kontrol grubu oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada veriler başarı testi, kişisel bilgi formu ve Fen ve Teknoloji dersi tutum ölçeği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Araştırma süresince başarı testi ve tutum ölçeğinden elde edilen verilerin, aritmetik ortalamaları, standart sapmaları betimsel olarak verildikten sonra, bağımsız gruplar t-testi uygulanmıştır. İstatistiki işlemler SPSS 16,0 paket programıyla çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin yorumlanmasında .05 anlamlılık düzeyi kabul edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre, proje tabanlı öğrenmenin uygulandığı deney gruplarıyla geleneksel öğrenmenin uygulandığı kontrol grupları arasında deneysel işlem öncesi akademik başarı açısından anlamsal bir farklılık olmadığı halde; proje tabanlı öğrenme modeli uygulandıktan sonra deney grupları lehine anlamlı bir farkın olduğu saptanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; Fen ve Teknoloji dersi konularının proje tabanlı öğrenme modeli esas alınarak hazırlanması, öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını artıracağı söylenebilir. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect oh the Project Based Teaching Model on the attitude and approach of students towards the understanding of ?Global Warning? under the subject ?Enviroment and Human? in Science and Technology course of the 7th grade. This study has been carried out in three primary schools(Private Turgut Özal, Fatih and Sümer) located in Malatya province. The number of the study were 140. The study has been implemented based on experimental model with pre test-post test control group. An experimental and a control group have been formed at random in each school in order to study the effect of Teaching Model on Project Basis on the students? academic success and their attitude in Science and Technology course. The data in the study have been acquired by using achievement test, personal information form and Science and Technology attitude scale. The data acquired form the achievement test and attitude scale during the course of the study were utilized to calculate arithmetic means and standard deviations. Further a t-test was implemented for independent groups. Statiscal analysis were carried out by SPSS 16.0 package programme. A .05 level has accepted as significant. According to the data, although there has been no semantic difference in terms of academic achievement before experimental groups on which project basis learning method is applied, it has been verified that there is a significant difference in favour of experimental groups when the Project Based Model is implemented. The results showed that, the subjects in the Science and Technology course should be prepared based on the learning model on project basis which contribute to success students to a great extent.
