Öz:Amaç: Kavite şeklinin ideal koşullarda sağlanamadığı adeziv preperasyonlarda, oluşan polimerizasyon büzülmesini engellemek ve stres kırıcı bir bariyer oluşturmak amacıyla geliştirilen akışkan bulk fill kompozit rezinler; restoratif diş hekimliği uygulamalarında varılan en son gelişmelerden birisini teşkil etmektedir. Bu çalışma restoratif diş hekimliğinde sıklıkla kullanılan farklı markalardaki 3 adet bulk fill akıcı kompozit rezinin yüzey pörozitesinin değerlendirilmesini amaçlamıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada üç farklı markada bulk fill akıcı kompozit rezin; Surefil SDR Flow, Xtra base Flowable ve Filtek Bulk Flow kullanıldı. Standart 4x4 mm'lik teflon kalıplar içerisinde restorasyonlar hazırlandı ve 37 0C/24 saat distile su içerisinde bekletildi. Materyallerin yüzey pörozitesine stereomikroskop (Olympus SZX-7) ile 100X, 500X ve 1000X büyütmede bakıldı. Bulgular: Yüzey pürüzlülüklerine 100X lük büyütmede bakıldığı zaman Surefil SDR bulk fill, 500X lük büyütmeye bakıldığı zaman en fazla 3M Filtek Bulk Flow, 1000X lik büyütmede ise en fazla pöroz yapı 3M Filtek Bulk Flow da rastlanılmıştır. Gruplardaki pöroz yapılar 100X, 500X ve 1000X büyütmede değerlendirildiği zaman X-tra Base Flowable en az pöroz yapıya sahiptir. Surefill SDR ve 3M Filtek Bulk Flow arasında benzer sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışma ile, günümüz teknolojisine ve üretilen yeni jenerasyon bulk fill kompozitlere rağmen tüm gruplarda yüzey pörozitesi tespit edilmiştir. Yüzey pörozitesi restoratif dental materyallerin fiziksel ve mekaniksel özelliklerini etkileyen önemli bir parametredir. Yüzey pörozitesine sahip olan materyallerde uzun dönemde klinik başarıyı sağlamak mümkün olmayabilir.
Abstract:Objective: Flowable bulk fill composite resins is one of the latest developments in the practice of dentistry in restorative dentistry applications. They have been developed to prevent the formation of polymerisation contraction and to create a stress-breaking barrier in adhesive preparations where the shape of the cavity can not be provided under ideal conditions. This study was performed to investigate the evaluation of surface purosis of 3 different brands bulk fill flowable composite resins. Materials and Methods: Three different brands Bulk fill flowable composite resins; Surefil SDR Flow, X-tra base Flowable and Filtek Bulk Flow were used in the study. Restorations were prepared in standard 4x4 mm Teflon molds and stored in distilled water at 37 0C / 24 hours. The surface purosite of the materials was examined with a stereomicroscope (Olympus SZX-7) at 100X, 500X and 1000X magnification. Results: When looking at the surface roughness at a magnification of 100X, Surefil SDR bulk fill flowable has the highest purosidity, and at 500X magnification, 3M Filtek Bulk Flow has the highest purosidity and at 1000X magnification 3M Filtek Bulk Flow was observed to have the highest purosidity. X-tra Base Flowable has at least a pore structure in the groups evaluated at 100X, 500X and 1000X magnification. Similar results were obtained between Surefill SDR and 3M Filtek Bulk Flow. Conclusion: Surface porosity was detected in all groups despite today's technology and new generation composites. Surface porosity is a prominent parameter affecting the physical and mechanical properties of restorative dental materials. It may not be possible to achieve long-term clinical success in materials with surface porosity.
