First, it was determined that how the students define words, then, these definitions were classified and divided into levels. The study sample consists total of 66 students of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades of a secondary school in Malatya which selected by "convenience sampling" method. After the last case of the scoring rubric, reliability analysis calculated by Krippendorff's alpha coefficient, Cohen's kappa coefficient and Pearson moment multiplying correlation coefficient. The correlation between the scores given by the two encoders, were positive and high. Regarding the content validity of the rubric, expert opinion was obtained.
