Kaya, AlimSiyez, Digdem M.2024-08-042024-08-0420101300-1337https://hdl.handle.net/11616/95780The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument, which is specific to Turkish culture and to evaluate empathic tendency for children and adolescents. The sample consisted of 1144 students (579 girls, 565 boys) from Grades 3 through 12 selected from elemantary and high school The data were analyzed separately in each class level and it was observed that appearance of 3-5th grade and 6-12th grade is different. So it is thought that different forms for children and adolescents is to be true. In order to determine validity of both child and adolescent forms exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses and upper-lower group mean differences were conducted. According to these analyses two factors solutions were determined to be appropriate. Moreover Cronbach alpha correlations of scale and subscales, test-retest correlations and correlation coefficients between subscales show that this instrument is valid.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessEmpathyempathic tendencyreliabilityvalidityChild and Adolescent KA-SI Empathic Tendency Scale: Development, Validity and Reliability StudyArticle351561101252-s2.0-84865368113Q3WOS:000277616400009Q4
