Materyal ve metot: Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı türdedir. Araştırma, iki Aile Sağlığı Merkezine kayıtlı, iki yaşından küçük çocuğu olan 166 baba ile yürütülmüştür. Verilerin toplanmasında Kişisel Tanıtım Formu, Edinburgh Postpartum Depresyon Ölçeği (EPDÖ) ve Babaların Emzirme Tutumu (BET) ve Katılımı Ölçeği (BEK) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler (frekans, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma), bağımsuz örneklemler t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Spearman ile Pearson korelasyon testi ve basit doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada, babaların EPDÖ puan ortalaması 7.36±4.54, BET puan ortalaması 61.51±5.61 ve BEK puan ortalaması 62.58±5.98 olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmada EPDÖ ile BET (r=-0.211, p=0.006) ve BEK (r=-0.283, p=0.001) arasında zayıf ve negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda babalarda pospartum depresyon düzeyinin, emzirme tutumu ve katılımını olumsuz yönde etkilediği saptanmıştır. Material and method: The study, which included 166 dads with children under the age of two from Batman Bahçelievler and Batman Pazaryeri Chamber of Pharmacists Family Health Centers, was descriptive and correlational in nature. Information was gathered using the following instruments: Personal Introduction Form, Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS), and Fathers' Attitudes Towards Breastfeeding and Involvement Scale. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation), independent samples t-test, One Way-ANOVA, Pearson correlation test with Spearman, and basic linear regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. Results: According to the study, fathers' mean EPDS score was 7.36±4.54, their BET score was 61.51±5.61, and their BEK score was 62.58±5.98. The study found a weak but significant negative relationship between BEK (r=-0.283, p=0.001) and EPDS and BET (r=-0.211, p=0.006). Conclusion: The study's conclusions showed that fathers' views toward and engagement in nursing were negatively impacted by their postpartum depression levels.
