The (NHC)Pd(II)PPh3 complexes have been prepared from the PPh3 ligand, replaced by 3-chloro pyridine ligand in (NHC)Pd(II)(3-Cl-pyridine) complexes. The novel 2-hydroxyethyl substituted (NHC)Pd(II)PPh3 complexes have been characterized by using (HNMR)-H-1, C-13 {H-1}NMR, P-31 {H-1}NMR, FTIR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis techniques. Molecular and crystal structure of 1f was obtained by using single-crystal X-ray diffraction method.
