Designed container units that offer formal and spatial alternatives also have the potential to create different uses. Student housing among these usage areas are also one of the most suitable solutions for container structures. Sustainable, cost-effective habitable areas for university students can be provided with shipping containers. In this study, the use of alternative buildings on the basis of Burdur and Isparta were investigated in order to create a solution to the problem of housing and decrease the education costs of the university students which is one of the problems of our country. Keywords: Shipping container, Container architecture, Container building, Student housingNakliye konteynerleri düşük maliyetleri, standart boyutları, sağlam strüktürleri, bir araya gelebilme özellikleri, tasarım amaçlı müdahalelere uygun olmaları ve kolay taşınabilir olmaları nedeni ile mimari mekân organizasyonunda çeşitli kullanımlarda karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Biçimsel ve mekânsal alternatifler sunan tasarlanmış konteyner birimleri, farklı kullanım alanları oluşturabilme potansiyeline de sahiptirler. Bu kullanım alanları arasında yer alan yurt yapıları da konteyner yapıları için en uygun çözümlerden bir tanesidir. Üniversite öğrencileri için sürdürülebilir, uygun maliyetli yaşanabilir alanlar nakliye konteynerleri ile sağlanabilir. Bu çalışmada ülkemizin de sorunlarından bir tanesi olan üniversite öğrencilerinin barınma sorununa bir çözüm oluş- turmak ve eğitim maliyetlerini azalmak için Burdur ve Isparta illeri bazında alternatif yapı kullanımları araştırılmıştır.
