Şehitlik, İslam kültüründe derin bir manevi anlam taşıyan, fedakârlık ve ilahi ödül ile ilişkilendirilen bir kavramdır. Dinî musikide bu kavramın işlenişi hem dini hem de estetik bir perspektiften önemli bir inceleme alanı sunar. Çalışmada, ilahiler, kasideler ve mersiyeler gibi dinî musikinin sözlü metinlerinden örnekler analiz edilmiştir. Şehitlik kavramının bu metinlerde genellikle Allah'a olan teslimiyet, cennet müjdesi ve ebedi saadet gibi temalarla birlikte işlendiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu metinlerin, toplumsal dayanışmayı güçlendirme, dinî duyguları derinleştirme ve şehitlik kavramına yönelik kolektif bir bilinç oluşturma işlevleri vurgulanmıştır. Nitel bir araştırma yöntemi izlenerek yapılan bu çalışmada, dinî musikinin şehitlik konusundaki tematik derinliği incelenmiş ve bu metinlerin, tarihsel ve kültürel bağlamda toplum üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma, şehitlik kavramının dinî musiki metinlerinde estetik bir dille ifade edilmesinin, bireysel ve toplumsal anlam dünyasına nasıl katkı sağladığını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, dinî musikinin şehitlik kavramını hem dini bir ideal hem de kültürel bir değer olarak yücelttiğini ve bu kavramın insanlar üzerindeki ruhsal etkisini güçlendirdiğini göstermektedir. Çalışma, dinî musiki metinlerinin hem tarihsel derinliğini hem de günümüz dinî ve kültürel yaşantısındaki önemini ortaya koyarak bu alandaki literatüre katkı sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Martyrdom is a concept that carries a deep spiritual meaning in Islamic culture and is associated with sacrifice and divine reward. The treatment of this concept in religious music offers an important area of examination from both a religious and aesthetic perspective. In the study, examples from oral texts of religious music such as hymns, odes and elegies were analyzed. It has been determined that the concept of martyrdom is generally used in these texts together with themes such as submission to God, the good news of heaven and eternal happiness. The functions of these texts in strengthening social solidarity, deepening religious feelings and creating a collective consciousness towards the concept of martyrdom are emphasized. In this study, conducted by following a qualitative research method, the thematic depth of religious music on martyrdom was examined and the effects of these texts on society in the historical and cultural context were evaluated. The study aims to reveal how expressing the concept of martyrdom in an aesthetic language in religious music texts contributes to the world of individual and social meaning. The findings show that religious music glorifies the concept of martyrdom as both a religious ideal and a cultural value and strengthens the spiritual impact of this concept on people. The study aims to contribute to the literature in this field by revealing both the historical depth of religious musical texts and their importance in today's religious and cultural life.
