Some of these words are already used for her /him, but some others, gaining a new meaning time, are newly created to refer to the loved one. Some of them are coined by means of metaphors and by antonomasia. This article will delve into whether the context is influential on the choice of such words and expressions by putting the emphasis on the contextual factors in the ghazals of Bâkî, who is one of the poets of the classic era and who, we think, represents best the process of becoming a classic. © 2018 Hacettepe University 1.
