Şahin M.Dönmez B.2024-08-042024-08-0420141302-5600https://hdl.handle.net/11616/91358In this study, it was aimed to identify the views of physical education teachers about the ways of celebrating 19 May Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sport Festival and Contributions of the Festival to school culture. Purposeful sampling method is used to form the study group. The work group of the study is composed of physical education and sports teachers working in secondary schools with at least 3 times active participation to the festival celebrations and at least 5 years experience. The data for the study was gathered by using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. In the analysis of the data, content analysis method was used. According to the analysis, the data was formed and coded. Themes were identified from the coded data and findings were given. As a result, contribution of 19 May Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sport Festival to school culture is limited. Some formal characteristics like having mass demonstration and performing some figures together are given more importance.
