9.ÖZET Bu çalışmada, kontrol grubu ve şizofrenik hastaların eritrositlerinde G6PI enzim aktivitesi ile, plazma eser element konsantrasyonları tayin edildi. 85 hasta, 42 kontrol olmak üzere toplam 127 deneğe ait plazma eser element düzeyleri atomil absorbsiyon spektrofotometresi ile ölçüldü. Enzim aktivitesi ise 32 kontrol, 31 hast; olmak üzere toplam 63 denekte Glock ve Mclean metodu ile spektrofotometrik olaral tayin edildi. Eser element ve enzim sonuçları kontrol grubu ile hasta grubu arasında istatistikse olarak karşılaştırıldı. G6PD enzim aktivitesi hastalarda kontrollere göre anlamlı olarak yüksek bulundu. Ayrıca eser elementler hasta grubunda, kontrol grubuna göre; Mn, Zr düzeyleri düşük; Fe, Cu, Al, Mg düzeyleri ise anlamlı olarak yüksek bulundu. Enzim aktivitesinin şizofreni hastalarında yüksek olmasının, şizofrenide metabolizma hızının yüksek olması ile ilişkili olabileceği sonucuna varıldı. 4(î
10. SUMMARY This study focuses on the G6PD enzyme activity and plasma trace element concentration in the erthrocytes of schizophrenia patients and controls. Plasm trace element levels of 85 patients and 42 controls out of 127 were measured usinj atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Enzyme activity was evaluated in 32 contro and 3 1 schizoprenia patients using spectrophotometery method Glock and Mclean. Trace element and enzyme results of control and patient groups wen statistically evaluated G6PD enzyme activity was significantly high in the patien group. Trace elements such Mn and Zn were lower in the patient group and Fe, Cu Al, Mg were significantly higher compared to controls. Such as concluded the high enzyme activity in schizophrenia patients h concluded to be related to the high rate of metabolism in this group. 41
