Dr. Mustafa Sülü Bu tez sterik ve elektronik özellikleri farklı olan üç tripodal fosfin ligandımn PPP, CH3C[CH2PPh2]3, CF3PPP, CH3C[CH2P(m-CF3C6H4)2]3, Bu'PPP, CU3C[CEJP(p-ButC6lU)2h rutenyum komplekslerinin CO, H2, CO/H2 ile reaksiyonlarını ve onlann katalitik özelliklerinin homojen olarak katalizlenen hidroformilasyon reaksiyonlarında incelenmesini kapsamaktadır. Hidroformilasyonun şartlarından rutenyum tripodal fosfin komplekslerinin reaksiyonlarını daha iyi anlayabilmek için, [Ru(OCOCF3)2(L)] ve [Ru(MeCN)3(L)](OTf)2 (L= PPP, CF3PPP, Bu'PPP) komplekslerinin CO, H2, CO/H2 ile reaksiyonları çalışıldı. Tüm ürünler 3,P-NMR ve İR spektroskopileri ile karakterize edildi. Rutenyum tripodal fosfin kompleksleri için hidroformilasyon mekanizması önerildi. Ilımlı koşullarda asetat ve solvento rutenyum komplekslerinin katalitik aktiviteleri hidroformilasyon reaksiyonlarında test edildi. Genelde tüm kompleksler yüksek katalitik aktivite gösterdi. 1-hekzen'in hidroformilasyonunda [Ru(OCOCF3)2(PPP)] kompleksinin katalitik aktivitesinin, [Rh(H)(CO)(PPP)] kompleksinin katalitik aktivitesi ile yaklaşık aynı olduğu tespit edildi. ABSTRACT Master Thesis SYNTHESIS OF RUTHENIUM TRIPODAL PHOSPHINE CARBONYL COMPLEXES AND INVESTIGATION OF THEIR CATALYTIC PROPERTIES IN HYDROFORMYLATION REACTIONS Arzu ÇAKIR inönü University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemistry Vii + 56 pages 2005 Supervisor: Assoc.Prof.Dr.Mustafa Sülü This thesis describes, reaction of ruthenium complexes of phosphine ligands PPP, CH3C[CH2PPh2]3, CF3PPP, CH3C[CH2P(m-CF3C6H4)2]3, Bu'PPP, CH3C[CH2P(p-ButC6H4)2]3 having different steric and electronic effects with gases of CO, H2, CO/H2 and investigation of properties of catalytic of their in homogenously hidroformylation reaction. In order to gain better understanding of reactions of ruthenium tripodal phosphine complexes under hydroformylation condition, the reaction of complexes of ruthenium [Ru(OCOCF3)2(L)] ve [Ru(MeCN)3(L)](OTf)2 (L= PPP, CF3PPP, BuT-PP) with CO, H2 and CO/H2 were studied. All product were characterized by 31P-NMR ve IR spectroscopies. It was suggested mechanizm of hydroformylation of ruthenium tripodal phosphine complexes. The catalytic activities of acetato and solvento ruthenium complexes was tested in hidroformylation reactions under mild conditions. Generally, all complexes show higher catalytic activities. It was obtain the catalytic activity of [Ru(OCOCF3)2(PPP)] is approximately the same catalytic activity of [Rh(H)(CO)(PPP)] in hydroformylation of 1-hexen.
