Bu arastırmanın amacı, Malatya Polis Meslek Yüksekokulu (MPMYO)'nun örgütsel iklimini ögrenci algılarına dayalı olarak, nasıl bir iklime sahip oldugunu ve derecesini belirlemektir. Arastırmanın alt amaçları ise, ögrenci algıları ile ders görevlileri ve amirlerin algıları arasında anlamlı fark olup olmadıgını, ögrenci algılarının sınıf düzeyi, ders basarı durumu, annenin çalısıp çalısmaması, baba meslegi ve polislik meslegini seçme nedenine göre farklılasıp farklılasmadıgını belirlemektir. Bu amaçla MPMYO'da birinci sınıf düzeyinde 263, ikinci sınıf düzeyinde 188 olmak üzere toplam 451 ögrenciye Hoy, Tarter ve Kottamp (1991) tarafından gelistirilen Örgütsel klimi Betimleme Anketi (OCDQ-RS) uygulanmıstır. Arastırmanın analiz asamasında sınıf düzeyi, anne meslegi ve seçim nedeni degiskenleri açısından deneklerin anket maddelerine verdikleri yanıtlar arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadıgını test etmek için t-testi (Independent-Samples T Test) kullanılmıstır. Uygulanan t-testi sonucunda dagılımın homojen olup olmadıgını test eden Levene'nin Varyansların Homojenligi Testi (Levene's Test for Equality of Variances) sonuçları incelenmis, varyansların homojen olmadıgı durumlarda (p<.05) t-testi yerine Mann Whitney- U Testi yapılmıstır. Ders basarı düzeyi ve baba meslegi degiskenleri açısından deneklerin anket maddelerine verdikleri yanıtlar arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadıgını test etmek için tek yönlü varyans analizi (One-Way ANOVA) uygulanmıstır. Grup varyanslarının esit oldugu durumlarda, ortalama puanlarının çoklu karsılastırması Fischer'in LSD testi (Least Significance Degree) ile yapılmıs ve sonuçlar gerekli durumlarda yorumlanmıstır. Varyansların homojen olmadıgı durumlarda (p<.05) varyans analizi yerine Kruskall Wallis-H Testi yapılmıstır. Kruskal Wallis-H testi sonucunda p degerinin anlamlı çıkması sonucu, gruplar arasındaki farkın hangi grup ya da gruplardan kaynaklandıgının belirlenebilmesi için degiskenlerin alt bölümleri ikili olarak gruplanmıs ve bu ikili gruplar için Mann Whitney-U testi uygulanmıstır. Anket aracılıgıyla elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel çözümlemesinde bilgisayar paket programından yararlanılmıstır. Degerlendirmelerde anlamlılık düzeyi 0,05 olarak benimsenmistir. MPMYO'nun örgütsel iklimini ögrenci algılarına dayalı olarak nasıl bir iklime sahip oldugunu ve derecesini belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu arastırma sonucunda ulasılan bazı sonuçlar söyle özetlenebilir: ? MPMYO, ögrenci algılarına dayalı olarak açık bir iklime sahiptir ve açıklık endeksi 533,3108'dir. ? MPMYO'nun örgütsel iklimini ögrencilerin ders görevlileri ve amirlerine oranla daha fazla açık buldukları anlasılmaktadır. ? Ögrenci görüslerinin sınıf düzeyi degiskenine göre anlamlı bir sekilde farklılasmadıgı belirlenmistir. ? Bir zayıf notu olan ögrenciler, hiç zayıf notu olmayanlara göre kendilerini daha fazla engellenmis hissetmektedirler. ? Ögrenci görüslerinin anne meslegi degiskenine göre anlamlı bir sekilde farklılasmadıgı belirlenmistir. ? Babası isçi ve çiftçi olan ögrenciler, ders görevlilerini ve amirlerini, babası memur olan ve sayılanlar dısında meslek sahibi olan ögrencilerden daha destekleyici bulmaktadırlar. ? Erkekler için ideal oldugunu düsündükleri için polisligi seçenler, erkekler için ideal oldugunu düsündükleri için polisligi seçmeyenlere oranla MPMYO'nun örgütsel iklimini daha açık bulmaktadırlar. ? Devlet içinde bir meslek oldugu için polisligi seçen ögrenciler, devlet içinde bir meslek oldugu için polisligi seçmeyen ögrencilere oranla MPMYO'nun örgütsel iklimini daha açık bulmaktadırlar. ? The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of organizational climate Malatya Police Vocational School of Higher Education (MPMYO) has depending on perceptions of cadets and it?s degree of openness index. The secondary purpose is to find out whether there are any differences between cadets? and instructors and supervisors? perceptions, whether there are any differences in perceptions of cadets in terms of grade level, academic success, mother?s work status, father?s job and the reason for choosing police profession. For these purposes, Hoy, Tarter and Kottamp?s (1991) Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire - Rutgers Secondary (OCDQ-RS) was conducted to 285 first grade and 198 second grade cadets of MPMYO. At the analysis stage of the research, firstly Levene?s Test for Homogeneity was conducted to determine if the variances differ as homogenous. For the cases where variances are homogenous, Independent T-Test was conducted to analyze the data in terms of grade level, mother?s wok status and the reason for choosing police profession. For other cases where the variances are not homogenous (p<.05) Mann Whitney-U Test is used to analyze the data instead of Independent T-Test. For the cases where variances are homogenous, One Way-ANOVA Test is used to analyze the data in terms of academic success and father?s job. Afterwards, comparisons are made by Least Significance Degree. For the cases where the variances are not homogenous (p<.05) Kruskal Wallis-H Test is used to analyze the data instead of One Way-ANOVA Test. When p is significant after Kruskal Wallis-H Test, variances divided in two groups, Mann Whitney-U Test is used for groups to find out the source of significance. PC packet program is used to statistically analyze the data obtained from survey instrument. Significance level is 0,005 at this study. Followings are some of the key results of this study: ? MPMYO, has open climate based on cadets? perceptions and openness index is 533,3108. VII ? MPMYO?s organizational climate is perceived more open by cadets rather than instructors and supervisors. ? Cadets? perceptions are not significant by means of their grade level. ? Those who have one bad mark feel themselves more frustrated than those who have no bad mark. ? Cadets? perceptions are not significant by means of their mothers? profession. ? Cadets whose fathers are workers and farmers perceive instructors and supervisors more supportive than cadets whose fathers are civil servants and other professionals. ? Cadets, who choose police profession because it is ideal for males, perceive MPMYO?s organizational climate more open than cadets who don?t choose police profession because it is ideal for males. ? Cadets, who choose police profession because it is a public profession, perceive MPMYO?s organizational climate more open than cadets who don?t choose police profession because it is a public profession. ? Cadets, who choose police profession because it is a courteous profession, perceive MPMYO?s organizational climate more open than cadets who don?t choose police profession because it is a courteous profession. ?
