Stratejik liderlik, çağdaş yönetim dünyasında yadsınamaz bir olgu olarak gündem oluşturmaya başlamıştır. Stratejik liderlik; geleceği öngörerek şekillendirebilmek, bunun için gerekli stratejik yönetim anlayışını oluşturabilmek ve bu doğrultuda diğer yönetici ve çalışanları yetkilendirerek, onları kuruluş vizyonu doğrultusunda yenilikçi ve yaratıcı hedeflere yönlendirerek, karmaşık küresel rekabet ortamında, gerektiğinde hızla stratejik değişimi sağlayabilmektir. Stratejik liderlik bir kuruluşu bir noktadan alıp çok daha ileri bir noktaya taşımak ve bu yönde arkasından insanları o yöne sürükleyebilmektir. Stratejik liderlik konusunu kapsamlı bir şekilde ortaya koyan bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde liderlik kavramı; ikinci bölümde stratejik lider kavramı ve stratejik liderlik becerisi; son bölümde ise yapılan çalışmayı desteklemek amacıyla bir analiz çalışması yapılmış sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Strategic leadership, an undeniable fact in the world of modern management has begun to create the agenda. Strategic leadership is creating the understanding of strategic management, so is shaping the future as well as foreseeing it. In addition, strategic leadership is providing the necessary and the quick strategic changes within the complex global competitive environment, by authorizing the employees and managers, by directing them to innovative and creative goals which are in line with the corporate vision. Strategic leadership is about moving a corporation forward and influencing other people to follow this movement. This study which is analyzing the strategic leadership in a comprehensive manner consists of three parts. The first and the second part of the study is analyzing the concepts of leadership, strategic leader and strategic leadership skills consecutively. In the final part, there is an analysis work has been made to support the first two parts, and its results have been evaluated.
