Bu araştırma Türkçenin değişen dil yapısının gazete manşetlerine (haber, röportaj, köşe yazısı…) yansımasını göz önüne sermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma ayrıca Türkçe ile aynı anlama gelen yabancı kelimelerin aynı haber yazısında veya farklı bir zaman diliminde farklı haberlerde birlikte kullanıldıklarını da göstermiştir. Bu şekildeki bir yayın politikası ile yabancı kelimeler okundukça tıpkı Türkçe kelimeler gibi genel kabul görmesi ve dahası Türkçe kelimelerin yerine kullanılmaya başlanması düşüncesi bu çalışmanın ana omurgasını teşkil etmektedir. Araştırmanın örneklemi 1948 yılından beri yayında olan Hürriyet Gazetesidir. Hürriyet Gazetesinin seçilmesinde uzun soluklu bir yayın geçmişine sahip olması ve logosunda Türkiye Türklerindir ifadesinden ötürü Türkçeye gerekli önemi vereceği düşüncesidir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yazılı basının internet ortamına aktarılmış hali kullanılmıştır. Arama motorlarında Hürriyet Gazetesi ve Türkçeye yabancı dilden giren kelimeler birlikte yazılmış ve çıkan yazılar incelenmiştir. Türk Dil Kurumuna (TDK) ait internet sitesi sözlükleri aracılığıyla bu kelimelerin ne anlama geldiği belirtilmiş ancak bu kuruma ait sözlüklerde tespit edilemeyen güncel kelimeler için bir başka internet sözlüğü olan "Sesli Sözlük" internet adresine başvurulmuştur. Gazetenin Türkçe ile aynı anlama sahip yabancı kelimeleri aynı haber, röportaj, köşe yazısı... vs. birlikte kullandığı görülmüştür. Türkçe ile aynı anlama sahip yabancı kelimelerin okura sunulması, dilsel anlamda bir yozlaşmaya ve ana dile karşı yabancılaşmaya sebep vereceği düşünülmektedir. Yine sadece yabancı kelimeleri tercih ettiği, aynı anlama gelen Türkçe kelimeleri kullanmadıkları da görülmüştür. Türk Dil Kurumu'nun (TDK) kullanımda olan birtakım kelimeler için henüz bir tanımlama yapmadığı, özellikle sosyal medyada geçen bazı kavramları ve bazı buluşları isimlendirmediği ve güncellikten uzak kaldığı görüldüğünden kurumun dışındaki "Sesli Sözlük" internet sitesine başvurulmuştur. This research intends to unfold the reflection of the changing language structure of Turkish upon newspaper headlines (news, interviews, columns, etc.). This research also shows that foreign language synonyms of Turkish words are used simutenously in the same news article or in a different time in different news articles. The idea that foreign words are generally accepted when they are read with a publishing policy like this and forthermore that these words are put to use instead of Turkish ones constitutes the corner stone of this study. The research sample is the newspaper Hürriyet which has been published since 1948. The reason for choosing newspaper Hürriyet resides on the grounds that it has a long publishing history and the idea that it is giving the necessary importance to the Turkish language because it holds the statement 'Turkey belongs to theTurks' in its logo. In the study, the digitilized printed media has been used as the data collection tool. Newspaper Hürriyet and foreign words that passed into Turkish have been typed in search engines and the articles found were analysed and studied in detail. The meaning of the foreign words were looked up in the dictionaries on the website of the Turkish Language Associaton (Türk Dil Kurumu); however, the meaning of the new words in use that could not be found were looked up on another online dictionary website called 'Sesli Sözlük'. It has been observed that the newspaper has been using synonyms of Turkish words from foreign languages in the same news, interviews, columns etc. Presenting synonyms of Turkish words from foreign languages to the reader is thought to cause a corruption linguistically and an alienation to the mother tongue. It has also been perceived that foreign words are preferred to use without their Turkish synonyms. Since it has been observed that the Turkish Language Association (TLA) has not yet given any definition for some words in use, that it has not named some inventions and conecpts on social media and that it not been up-to-date, the website 'Sesli Sözlük' has been used apart from the Turkish Language Association.
