19 Mayıs atatürkü anma, gençlik ve spor bayramı hakkında beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin görüşleri

Abstract

Öz:Bu çalışmada, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin 19 Mayıs Atatürk ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramının kutlanış biçimine ilişkin görüşleri ve bu görüşler doğrultusunda bayramın okul kültürüne katkılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma grubunun oluşturulmasında amaçlı ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu Malatya ilinde 19 Mayıs Atatürk ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı etkinliklerine en az 3 kez katılmış, en az 5 yıl kıdeme sahip ortaöğretim okullarında çalışan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmen- lerinden oluşturulmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan nitel araştır- ma tekniklerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmış- tır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde, içerik analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Buna göre elde edilen veriler düzenlenerek kodlanmış, kodlanan verilerden temalar belir- lenmiş ve bu doğrultuda bulgular tanımlanmış ve yorumlanmıştır. Sonuç ola- rak, 19 Mayıs Atatürk ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramının okul kültürüne kat- kısı sınırlıdır. Toplu gösteri yapma, birlikte hareket etme gibi biçimsel özellikle- re önem verilmektedir. Halk oyunları ve temsil dışında etkinliklerin mili birlik ve beraberliğe, Türk gelenek ve göreneklerine uygun olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:In this study, it was aimed to identify the views of physical education teachers about the ways of celebrating 19 May Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sport Festival and Contributions of the Festival to school culture. Purposeful sampling method is used to form the study group. The work group of the study is composed of physical education and sports teachers working in secondary schools with at least 3 times active participation to the festival cele- brations and at least 5 years experience. The data for the study was gathered by using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. In the analysis of the data, content analysis method was used. According to the analy- sis, the data was formed and coded. Themes were identified from the coded data and findings were given. As a result, contribution of 19 May Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sport Festival to school culture is limited. Some formal characteristics like having mass demonstration and performing some figures together are given more importance. It was identified that the activities, except for folk dances and representation of independence war, are not appropriate to Turkish customs and usages.
