"Gaziantep İlinde Verem Savaş Dispanserlerine Kayıtlı Tüberküloz Hastalarına Verilen Eğitimin Depresyon Düzeylerine Etkisi"

Abstract

Öz:Bu çalışma tüberküloz hastalarına verilen eğitiminin depresyona yatkınlık düzeyleri ile olan ilişkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Araştırma kontrol gruplu bir müdahale çalışmasıdır. Çalışma, Nisan 2014-Ocak 2015 tarihleri arasında Gaziantep İl merkezinde yer alan Verem Savaş Dispanserleri’nde yapıldı. Basit rastgele yöntemle 50 müdahale, 50 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 100 hastaya ulaşıldı. Sosyo-demografik özellikler soru formu ve Beck Depresyon Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Müdahale grubundaki hastalara gruplar halinde on beş gün arayla iki kez tüberküloz eğitimi verildi. Veriler SPPS programı kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Veriler değerlendirilirken bağımsız gruplarda t testi, bağımlı gruplarda t testi ve Wilcoxon testi kullanıldı. Ön test, müdahale grubunun depresyon ölçeği puan ortalaması 9,86±4,12; kontrol grubunun depresyon ölçek puan ortalaması 12,36±9,23 olarak saptandı. Son test depresyon ölçeği puanlarının karşılaştırılmasında, müdahale grubunun depresyon ölçeği puan ortalamasının 4,40±2,24; kontrol grubunun depresyon ölçek puan ortalamasının 12,04±7,74 olduğu belirlendi. Müdahale ve kontrol grubu hastalarının eğitim sonrası ölçek puanları arasında istatistiksel açıdan önemli bir fark saptandı (p<0,05). Hastalara tüberküloz hakkında verilen eğitimin depresyon düzeyine olumlu yönde etki ettiği belirlendi.

Öz:This study was conducted to determine the relationship between education given to tuberculosis patients and depression susceptibility levels. The study is a control group intervention study. The study was conducted between April 2014 and January 2015 at the Tuberculosis Dispensaries in Gaziantep. A total of 100 patients, 50 interventions and 50 control groups, were reached by simple random method. Socio- demographic characteristics were collected using questionnaire and Beck Depression Inventory. Tuberculosis training was given to the patients in the intervention group twice in 15-days intervals. Data were analyzed using SPPS program. Data were evaluated by independent samples t test, dependent groups t test and Wilcoxon test. The pre-test revealed that the depression group scores of the intervention group were 9.86 ± 4.12; Depression scale score of the control group was 12.36 ± 9.23. In the comparison of the post-test depression scale scores, the depression scale scores of the intervention group were 4.40 ± 2.24; Depression scale score of the control group was found to be 12.04 ± 7.74. There was a statistically significant difference between the scale scores of the intervention and control group after the training (p <0.05). It was determined that the education given to the patients about tuberculosis had a positive effect on the level of depression.
