Lise Öğrencilerinin Hepatit B Hakkındaki Bilgi Ve Tutumları

Abstract

Hepatitis B (HBV) infection is one of the most important public health problems throughout the world. This study is aimed to test the knowledge and attitudes of high school students on routes of infection and means of prevention for HBV infection.

Method; A questionnaire with 25 items was presented to 467 (97.3%) students out of 480 without sampling who attended Tarsus Health High School (THHS) and Tarsus Atatürk High School (TAHS).

Results; The mean of the points received by the students were 58.7"18.6 and median was 56 out of 100. Mann-Whitney-U test, Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis and Spearman correlation analysis were used for statistical evaluation. The points gained by THHS students and girls were found to be higher than (p<0.05) TAHS students and boys, respectively. Objects whose fathers have an education level of high school or above showed a higher performance (p<0.05), while other parameters such as maternal education level, economic status, and the presence of a dose relative with an occupation related to health had no significance (p>0.05).Mean points and age have a significant relation (r=0.35, p=0.000). The possible effective factors on points such as, the school type, sex, age, economic status, maternal education, paternal education, and the presence of a relative with an occupational health business were worked out with Forward LR on logistic regression analysis and only school type remained as the last variable.

Conclusion; Local and international studies performed on the same subject disclose the fact that lack of knowledge on this special topic may only be overcome with better educational means.

Hepatit B virüsü ( HBV) infeksiyonu dünyada giderek önem kazanan toplum sağlığı sorunlarından biridir. Bu çalışma, Use öğrencilerinin HBV bulaş ve korunma yolları konusundaki bilgi ve tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.

Yöntem;Yirmi beş sorudan oluşan anket formu, Tarsus Sağlık Meslek Lisesi (SML) ve Tarsus Atatürk Lisesi'nde öğrenim gören 480 öğrenciden örneklem alınmadan 467'sine (%97.3) gözlem altında uygulanmıştır.

Bulgular; Öğrencilerin ortalama puanı 100 üzerinden 58.7±18.6 (ortanca 56)'dır. İstatistik analizlerde Mann-Whitney-U testi, Kruskal-Wallis varyans analizi ve Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. SML öğrencilerinin puanları klasik Use öğrencilerinden (p<0.05), kız öğrencilerin puanları erkeklerden (p<0.05) yüksek bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, baba eğitimi Use ve üstü olanların puanları, diğerlerinden anlamlı olarak yüksek bulunurken (p<0.05), anne eğitim düzeyi, ekonomik durum ve akraba çevresinde sağlık personeli varlığı önemli etmenler değildir (p>0.05). Puan ortalaması He yaş arasında r=0,35 (p=0.000) anlamlı bir ilişki vardır. Puanları etkileyebileceği düşünülen okul adı, cinsiyet, anne eğitimi, baba eğitimi, yaş, ekonomik durum, akraba çevresinde sağlık personeli varlığı bağımsız değişkenleri, lojistik regresyon analizinde Forward LR ile incelenmiş, son modelde bu değişkenlerden sadece okul kalmıştır.

Sonuç; Yurt içinde ve dışında yapılan benzer çalışmalarda da bilgi düzeyinin düşük bulunmuş olması, eğitime daha çok önem verilmesi gereğini ortaya koymaktadır.
