Sanatçılar tuval üzerine resim yaparken genellikle yağlı boya, su bazlı yağlı boya ve akrilik boyalar
kullanmaktadırlar. Üzerine resim yapılan tuval bezlerinin yüzeyi astarlanarak kullanıma hazır hale
getirilmektedir.
Spektrofotometre ile tekrar L*a*b* değeri ölçülerek sapması tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca soldurulmuş boya Blue
Wool Scale ile yanyana konulup mukayese edilerek ışık haslığı değeri belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar tablo ve
grafiklerle gösterilmiştir.
Artists generally use oil paints, water based oil paints and acrylic paints to paint on canvas or cardboard. In
order to be prepared for painting the surface of the canvas fabrics are primed. In this investigation 3 types of
oil and acrylic based paints, which are and commonly used in the art of painting, were chosen to apply onto
the canvas. Onto the canvas base which was to be painted on, the same toned red paints (Cadmium Red
Hue) were applied with constant print pressure and equal amount as surface paint. After drying the L*a*b*
value of the printed paints were measured with the Spectrophotometer. The paints printed on the cardboard
were exposed to be faded together with Blue Wool Scalein a Solarboxunder 1500 watt UV rays for 300 hours
by using autobar filter. After fading, the deviation in colour was determined by measuring the L*a*b* value
with the Spectrophotometer. Also the light fastness value of the paint was determined by comparison to the
Blue Wool Scale. Results are shown in tables and graphs.
