Yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin bakım kavramı algısı

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin bakım kavramı algısını belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Materyal ve Metot: Bu çalışma nitel bir araştırma tasarımı olarak Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi yoğun bakım ünitelerinde çalışan 17 hemşire ile Haziran-Mart 2016 tarihleri arasında yapıldı. Veriler tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve hemşirelerin bakım kavramı algısını değerlendirmeye yönelik açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bakım kavramı değerlendirme formu aracılığıyla toplandı. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından birebir derinlemesine görüşme yöntemi ile toplandı Bu formda hemşirelere; size göre bakım nedir? Bakım kavramını oluşturan öğeler nelerdir? Bakım uygulamalarının hemşireliğin meslekleşmesine katkısı nedir? gibi sorular yer aldı. Görüşmeler sırasında hemşirelerden izin alınarak ses kaydı yapıldı. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik analiz yöntemiyle kodlanarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 28.73, sekizi erkek, 12'sinin lisans mezunu olduğu belirlendi. Çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin tümü bakım kavramının hemşireliğin temelini oluşturduğunu belirtti. Hemşirelerin 10'u bakım kavramını, sadece hastanın fiziksel gereksinimini karşılamasına yardım etmek olduğunu, yedi hemşire de bakım kavramını, hastanın hem fiziksel hem de psikolojik gereksinimlerinin giderilmesine yardımcı olmak olduğunu belirtti. Çalışma sonucunda iki ana tema tanımlandı; fiziksel bakım (hijyen sağlama, pozisyon verme, yara bakımı); psikolojik bakım (iletişime geçme, varlığının farkında olma). Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonucunda yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin bakım kavramını daha çok hijyen sağlama olarak algıladıkları ve bakım kavram algısının istendik düzeyde gelişmediği belirlendi. This research study aims to reveal the perception of care concept of intensive care unit nurses. Material and Method: This qualitative study was conducted ıntensive care unit of Diyarbakir Education and Research Hospital, In the southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey between June and March, 2016. The study is performed with 17 nurses. Private face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect the data. The nurses in the study were asked questions such as; what is the concept of care for you? what items are included in the concept of care? what is the contribution of care practices to the professionalization of nursing? Data were analyzed using a content analysis approach. Result: The average age of the nurses is 28.7, 8 of them are male and 12 of them have undergraduate degree. All of the nurses stated that the concept of care is the basis of nursing. In the study, 10 nurses stated that the concept of care is to help the patients to meet the physical / hygiene needs. On the other side, 7 nurses described the concept of care as helping to overcome both the physical and the psychological needs of the patients. Two main themes were defined as the result of the study: Physical care (providing hygiene, positioning and, wound care); Psychological care (communication, awareness of existence). Conclusion: The study shows that majority of the intensive care nurses perceive the care concept as providing more hygiene which leads us to conclude that the concept perception of these nurses is not developed sufficiently.
