Opinions of teachers regarding the ınspection of teachers by school principals ınstead of ınspectors

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the teachers’ opinions about the fact that the teacher inspections are going to be made by the principals instead of educational inspectors. This study is a qualitative research. The work group of the study consists of 53 pre, primary and secondary school teachers from different branches selected with the maximum variation sampling method and criterion sampling. Data of the study is gathered with a semi-structured forms. As a result of the study it is found that, the teachers don’t regard the educational inspectors’ inspections positively. However; despite some concerns, it is found that they regard the principals’ inspections positively.
