Ortaöğretim Öğrencilerinde Okula Yabancılaşma Düzeyleri

Abstract

Öz:Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin okula yabancılaşma düzeylerini belirlemek ve cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve lise türü değişkenlerine göre öğrencilerin okula yabancılaşma algılarını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılı 2. döneminde Malatya ili Battalgazi ve Ye-şilyurt ilçelerindeki okullarda okuyan 575 öğrenci oluşturmak-tadır. Araştırmanın verileri “Öğrenci Yabancılaşma Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin öğrenci yabancılaşma ölçeğinde yer alan ifadelere “orta” düzeyde katıldıkları belirlenmiştir. Cinsi-yet değişkenine göre öğrenci algıları güçsüzlük boyutunda an-lamlı farklılık gösterirken, anlamsızlık, kuralsızlık ve sosyal uzaklık boyutlarında ve ölçeğin genelinde anlamlı farklılıklar göstermemiştir. Sınıf düzeyi değişkenine göre öğrenci algıları güçsüzlük, anlamsızlık, sosyal uzaklık boyutunda ve ölçeğin genelinde anlamlı farklılıklar gösterirken, kuralsızlık boyutun-da anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemiştir. Okul türü değişkenine göre öğrenci algıları kuralsızlık, sosyal uzaklık boyutlarında ve ölçeğin genelinde anlamlı farklılık gösterirken, güçsüzlük ve anlamsızlık boyutlarında anlamlı farklılık göstermemiştir.

Öz (İngilizce):The purpose of this research is to determine the alie-nation levels of the secondary school students to the school and to reveal students' perceptions of alienation according to the va-riables of gender, class level, and high school type. The sample of the research is composed of 575 students studying in the schools in Battalgazi and Yeşilyurt districts of Malatya province in the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. The data of the study were collected by the "Student Alienation Scale". It has been determined that the students are participating in the "moderate" level on the Student Alienation scale statements. On sex variable, significant differences were found in perceptions of students in regards to powerlessness yet, no significant diffe-rences were found in the extent of meaninglessness, normless-ness, isolation sub-scales and general scale. On grade level vari-able, significant differences were found in regards to power-lessness, meaninglessness, isolation sub-scales and general sca-le, yet, no significant differences were found in the extent of normlessness sub-scale. On school type variable, significant dif-ferences were found in regards to normlessness, isolation sub-scales and general scale, yet, no significant differences were fo-und in the extent of powerlessness and meaninglessness sub-scales.
