Öz:Naziler, Almanya’da iktidarda bulundukları dönemde “DasLied der Deutschen” ve “Horst-Wessel Lied”’i milli marş olarak kullanmışlardır; kutlamalarda, merasimlerde, cenaze törenlerinde ve büyük toplantılarda sürekli olarak bu iki marşa yer vermişlerdir. Nazi rejimi altındaki Almanya’da Nasyonal Sosyalist Alman İşçi Partisi (NSDAP) mensupları, bu marşların çalınması ile birlikte sağ ellerini kaldırarak hep bir ağızdan coşkulu bir şekilde marşlara eşlik etmişlerdir ve marşın sonunda liderleri Adolf Hitler’e ve Nazizm’e övgülerde bulunmuşlardır. Gerek Alman milliyetçiliğini vurgulayan sözleri gerek büyük Nazi kitlesel gösterilerin bir parçası haline gelmesi nedeniyle bu marşlar, Naziler tarafından Nazizm ideolojisini kitlelere yayan bir propaganda aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, 1933-1945 yılları arasında, Naziler tarafından milli marş olarak bestelenen ve kullanılan “Horst-Wessel”in sözleri ve müziği nitel araştırma yöntemleri içerisinde yer alan göstergebilim ve müzik analiz yöntemlerine tabi tutularak incelenmiştir. Marşın sözleri ve müzikleri bulunduğu bağlamın koşulları içerisinde yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında, marşın Nazizm ideolojisini doğrudan kitlelere benimseten sözlere yer verildiği ve müziklerin kitleleri Nazizm ideolojisine yönelik motive edici olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma kapsamında, marşların “Komünizm ideolojisinin Almanya için tehlike oluşturduğu” ve “Alman ırkının diğer ırklardan üstün olduğu” mitleri üzerine kurgulandığı sonucu ortaya çıkarılmıştır.
Abstract:“Das Lied der Deutschen” and “Horst-Wessel-Lied” are two anthems used in Nazi Germany. The Nazis consistently provided these two anthems at celebrations, ceremonies, funerals and large meetings. When hearing anthems, the members of the NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) song along together by lifting their right hand. These anthems were used by the Nazis as a means of propaganda spreading the ideology of Nazism to the masses because of that their words emphasized German nationalism and that they became a part of the massive Nazi mass demonstrations. In this study, the words and musics of “Horst-Wessel-Lied” used as national anthem by the Nazis between 1933-1945 were examined by using semiological analysis and music analysis methods in qualitative research methods. The words and music of the both anthems were interpreted in the period they were in. In the light of the findings, it was found that the anthems contained the words which directly adopted the ideology of Nazism and the music motivated the masses towards the ideology of Nazism. In addition, within the scope of the study, the result was that the anthems were constructed on the myths of “the ideology of Communism is a danger to Germany” and “the German race is superior to other races”
