Ayak deformiteleri, çocukluk çağında en sık görülen kas-iskelet patolojilerinden birisidir. Erken tam ve tedavi, gelişebilecek daha ciddi problemleri önlemek için büyük önem taşır. Çalışmamız, basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 221 öğrenci ve bunların yakın akrabalarından oluşan toplam 1105 olgu üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmamıza Nörolojik kökenli ve kas kuvvet dengesizliğinden kaynaklanan ayak deformitelerine sahip olgular dahil edilmemiştir. Yapılan istatistiksel incelemeler; halluks valgus, pes planus ve arka ayak valgus deformitelerinin heredite ile pozitif korrelasyon gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur (p 0.05). Diğer ayak deformitelerinin sayıca azlığı nedeniyle herediter özellikleri araştırılamamıştır.
Foot deformities constitute one of the most common musculoskeletal pathologies seen in childhood. Early diagnosis and treatment of these deformities is essential in order to prevent the child from more serious problems. Totally 1105 subjects, consisted of 221 randomly chosen students and their close relatives, participated in this study Subjects with foot pathologies secondary to neurologic disorders or muscle inbalance were excluded. Statistical analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between heredity and hallux valgus, pes planus and hindfoot valgus deformities (p<0.05). Data related to other deformities were not sufficient for statistical analysis.
