Küresel siyaset, kimlik ve sanat

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın kapsamı özellikle 1980 sonrası Yeni Dünya Düzeni, Neo Liberalizm, Küreselleşme, Sanayi Sonrası Toplum, Enformasyon toplumu, Post-fordist toplum ya da Post-modernizm gibi terimlerle adlandırılan ve günümüzde de etkisi devam eden dönemin kültür politikası üzerine yoğunlaşmayı içermektedir. Yenidünya düzeni adı adlında değişen dünyanın bu yeni toplumsal dinamikleri, yalnızca ekonomik alanda değil aynı zamanda kültürel alanda da etkili olmuş, kültür ve sanat bu değişimden gereken payını almıştır. Sermaye birikiminin küreselleşmesi ve küresel ölçekte tek piyasa yaratma arayışları, kültür politikaları kapsamında sanatı da dönüşmüştür. Özellikle neo-liberal politikaların belirlediği sanat bu dönem içerisinde geçmişte hiç olmadığı kadar kimlik, cinsellik, yerellik ve etnisite gibi kavramlar çevresinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Çokuluslu sermayenin güdümünde gelişen sanat, çağın bireyi ile özdeş çok kimlikli, çok kültürlü, melez, pastiş ve derinliksiz bir hal almıştır. Artık sanatın özgünlüğünden bahsetmek artık imkansızdır. Sermaye her şeyi olduğu gibi sanatı da bir tüketim malzemesi haline getirerek yüzeyselleştirmiş ve kendi hizmetine sokmuştur. Sonuçta Bourriaud’ın (2005:12) da söylediği gibi günümüzde ticari olmayana yer yoktur. Sanat da buna dâhildir.

This research focuses mainly on the cultural politics of after the 1980s, whose effects can still be felt in the present and is named as New World Order, Neo-Liberalism, Globalisation, Post-Industrial Society, Information Society, Post – Fordist Society or Post-Modernism. In accordance with the fact that art cannot be free from social conditions, the social dynamics of the world perception, as a new world order have influenced not only economic domains but also cultural sphere, and both culture and art have undergone dramatic changes in accord. In line with the globalisation of capital cumulation and the efforts to create a global market, both culture politics and art have gained new forms. Art, which is particularly shaped by neo-liberal politics, has focused on concepts such as identity, gender, locality/localisation, and ethnicity than ever before in history. Art has attained a new feature characterized by multi-identity associated with post-modern individual, multi-culturalism and an in-between shallow pastiches as it became enslaved to the influence of multi-national capital. It is no longer possible to mention about the originality of art. Capital, like everything else, has turned art into a good to be consumed and so taken it into its own central as a shallow means. In conclusion, as Bourriaud says (2005:12), there is no room for anything which is not commercial. And art is not an exception.
