Dr. Nurhayat Özdemir Bu tezde, kayısı ağaçlarının ve meyvelerinin gelişimi ve olgunlaşması için gerekli temel elementlerden biri olan bor elementinin analizi yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Kayısı yaprak ve toprak örneği ile bu çalışmalar yapılırken UV-spektrofotometrik yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Her bir spektrofotometrik yöntem için ortam asitliği, lineer çalışma aralığı, sıcaklık gibi optimum koşullar bulunmuştur. Elde edilen bor düzeylerinin, kabul edilebilir bor derişimi aralığına düşüp düşmediği kontrol edilmiştir. Böylece bor elementinin alınabilirliği test edilip, kayısı ağaçlarının bu elemente olan ihtiyaçları araştırılmıştır. Thesis DETERMINATION OF BORON ELEMENT IN LEAF AND SOIL OF APRICOT Ali Kırksekiz Inonu University Gradute School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemistry ix+ 123 pages 2001 Supervisor : Asst. Prof. Dr. Nurhayat Özdenin in this thesis, the Boron, an essential element for apricot trees growing, and fruit ripeness is traced by routine analytical techniques. UV spectrophotometric techniques, and the other analytical techniques have been used to trace this element. Linear working interval, optimal acidic, and temperature conditions were determined. The determined level of boron was correlated with the acceptable amount of boron concentrations. In order to rationalize the result, the uptake of boron element by apricot trees was tested, and the necessity of this element apricot trees was investigated. Besides the main goal of this thesis which is the determination of the boron in apricot leaves and soils, standart boron determination for apricot leaves and soil specimens for apricots were outlined.
