Okul müdürlerinin yönetim ve iletişim becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin öğretmen görüşlerine göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırmada farklı eğitim kademelerinde görev yapan okul müdürlerinin iletişim ve yönetim becerilerini öğretmen algılarına göre belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin iletişim becerileri ile yönetim becerileri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olup olmadığını belirlemekte amaçlanmıştır. Bunun yanında yapılan araştırma ile öğretmenlerin okul müdürlerinin iletişim becerileri ile yönetim becerilerine ilişkin algılarının cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu, mesleki kıdem, okul türü, okuldaki öğrenci ve öğretmen sayısı değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterme durumunu belirlemekte amaçlanmıştır. Belirtilen amaçlar doğrultusunda araştırmada nicel araştırma desenlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Gaziantep ilinde çeşitli eğitim kademelerinde görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise evrende yer alan öğretmenler arasından olasılığa dayalı örneklem türlerinden olan "Basit Seçkisiz Örnekleme" yöntemi ile belirlenmiş 486 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak için "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "İletişim Yeterlikleri Ölçeği" ve "Yönetim Becerileri Ölçeği" nden yaralanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları ile toplanan veriler normal dağılım göstermesinden dolayı aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma hesaplamaları ile İlişkisiz Örneklemler t-Testi, ANOVA, Pearson Korelasyon ve Regresyon kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğretmen algılarına göre çeşitli eğitim kademelerinde görev yapan okul müdürlerinin iletişim becerileri ile yönetim becerilerinin düzeyinin yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin iletişim becerileri ile yönetim becerileri arasında pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu sonucuna da ulaşılmıştır. In the study, it was aimed to determine the communication and management skills of school principals working at different education levels according to their teacher perceptions. In addition, it was aimed to determine whether there is a significant relationship between school principals' communication skills and management skills according to teachers' perceptions. In addition to these purposes, the aim of the study is to determine whether there is a significant difference between teachers' perceptions of school principals' communication skills and management skills according to the variables of gender, education level, professional seniority, school type, number of students and teachers in the school. In line with the stated purposes, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research designs, was preferred in the research. The sample of the research consists of teachers working at various educational levels in Gaziantep in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 486 teachers who were determined by the "Simple Random Sampling" method, which is one of the probability-based sampling types among the teachers in the universe. "Personal Information Form", "Communication Competencies Scale" and "Management Skills Scale" were used to collect data in the research. Since the data collected with the data collection tools in the study showed normal distribution, they were analyzed using arithmetic mean and standard deviation calculations, Unrelated Samples t-Test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and Regression. In the study, it was concluded that the level of communication skills and management skills of school principals working at various educational levels was high according to teacher perceptions. In addition, according to the perceptions of the teachers in the research, it was concluded that there is a positive and moderately significant relationship between the communication skills of school principals and their management skills.
