Araştırmada, Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin medeniyet kavramlarına ilişkin algılarını belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında araştırmada tarama modeli tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini, İnönü ve Atatürk Üniversiteleri Eğitim Fakültelerinde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise İnönü ve Atatürk Üniversiteleri Eğitim Fakültelerinde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencileri arasından "Basit Seçkisiz Örnekleme" yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenen 500 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verilerini toplamak için araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen "Medeniyet Kavramı Algı Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan verileri analiz yapmak için ölçek maddelerinin frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırma verilerini analiz etmek için cinsiyet değişkeni açısından Bağımsız Örneklemler t-Testi, öğrenim görülen bölüm ve sınıf değişkenleri açısından ise Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin medeniyet kavramına ilişkin algılarının yüksek olduğu ve birbirine benzer olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin medeniyet kavramına ilişkin algıları arasında "cinsiyet" değişkenine göre "Kapsam" ve "Evrensel" boyutlarında istatistikî açıdan anlamlı farklılık tespit edilirken; "Tarihsel" boyutunda istatistikî açıdan anlamlı farklılığın olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet değişkenine göre eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin algıları arasında anlamlı farklılığın tespit edildiği "Kapsam" boyutunda anlamlı farklılık kadınların lehine iken "Evrensel" boyutunda anlamlı farklılık erkeklerin lehine olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrenim görülen sınıf ve bölüm değişkenleri açısından da anlamlı farklılığın olduğu boyutlar belirlenmiştir. Anahtar Sözcükler: Medeniyet, Eğitim Fakültesi, Öğrenci.
The aim of the study was to determine the perceptions of the students of the Faculty of Education about the concepts of civilization. For this purpose, screening model was preferred in the research. The universe of the research consists of undergraduate students studying at Inonu and Ataturk Universities Education Faculties. The sample of the study consists of 500 students who were selected from the undergraduate students in the faculties of education in İnönü and Atatürk Universities by using the simple random sampling method.Civilization Concept Perception Scale developed by the researcher was used to collect the research data. In order to analyze the data collected in the study, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation values of the scale items were calculated. In addition, in order to analyze the research data, Independent Samples t-Test was used in terms of gender variable and One-way ANOVA was used in terms of department and class variables studied.As a result of the research, it was found that the perceptions of the students of the Faculty of Education about the concept of civilization were high and were similar. In addition, in the study, a statistically significant difference was found between the perceptions of the students of the faculty of education on the concept of civilization in Scope and Universal dimensions according to gender variable; It was found that there is no statistically significant difference in its historical dimension. Significant differences were found between the perceptions of the students in the faculty of education according to the gender variable. As a result of the study, it was determined that there were significant differences in terms of class and department variables. Key Words: Civilization, Faculty of Education, Student.
