Abstract:
Öz:İnsanlarda Echinococcus multilocularis'in larval formunun neden olduğu hastalığa Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) denilmektedir. Ülkemizde AE'ye Doğu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgelerinde rastlanılmaktadır. Malatya'da ise yataklı sağlık kuruluşlarının kayıtlarına göre AE vakası görülmemiştir. Sağ üst kadranda ağrı şikayeti ile İnönü Üniversitesi Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezine gelen 70 yaşındaki bayan hastanın dinamik karaciğer Bilgisayarlı Tomografisi ile Cystic Echinococcosis (CE) tanısı konmuştur. Kistektomi sonrası patolojik inceleme ile AE olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Olgu Malatya ilinde tespit edilen ilk AE vakası olması nedeniyle sunulmuştur.

Öz (İngilizce):The disease resulting from being infected with the larval stage of Echinococcus multilocularis is called alveolar echinococcosis (AE). In our country AE is seen in eastern and southeastern regions of Anatolia. Previously no case of AE had been reported by any hospital in Malatya. In this one case, a 70 year-old woman who presented at the Inönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center with a right upper quadrant abdominal pain was given a diagnosis of cystic echinococcosis (CE) by dynamic liver computed tomography. The pathological examination following the cystectomy revealed the presence of AE. This is a report of the first AE case detected in Malatya province.
