Öğe Investigating the Opinions and the Implementations of Preschool Teachers Towards the Children of Single-Parent Families(2019) Er, Hasan; Bartan, MuratAbstract:Being an individual physically, cognitively and psychologically healthy andcontributive to the society for a child is undoubtedly possible in a family atmospherewhere effective communication exists and which is soft and warm. Therefore, it isinevitable for a child to be affected negatively and to observe behavioral problems inthe child in the family environment where one or both parents are absent.This research is a descriptive study in which the qualitative research method wasused. In the study, the opinions of the teachers whose classrooms consisted of thechildren having single-parent families were investigated, behavioral problems wererevealed and it was determined what kind of implementations the teachers used forovercoming the behavioral problems they encountered through semi structuredinterview technique. The study group of the research consisted of the 20 preschoolteachers whose classrooms included children from single-parent families. Descriptiveanalysis technique was utilized when the data obtained were analyzed in this study.According to the findings obtained in the study, it has been seen that the childrenfrom single-parent families avoid social environments, consistently experience fearand restlessness, display deficient behaviors like stammering and bedwetting.
