Öğe Do the online information searching strategies affect individual innovativeness in nursing students?(2019) Ozden, Gurkan; Cevik, Seher; Citlik Saritas, SeyhanAim: The study was conducted to determine the effect of online information searching strategies on individual innovativeness in students taking the course of information techniques in nursing. Material and Methods:The study was conducted as a descriptive and correlational study. The population of the study consisted of 548 students whoattended nursing faculty andtookthe course of information techniques in the nursing. In the study, the whole of the population was tried to be reached without using sample selection and the study was completed with 453 students. The data were collected by using Personal Information Form prepared by the researchers, Online Information Searching Strategies Inventory, and Individual Innovativeness Scale. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, One way ANOVA, post-hoc tests, Correlation analysis, and the Cronbach’s Alpha reliability analysis test were used to assess the data. Results: It was found that OISSI and subscale mean scores of the nursing students were moderate. IIS mean scores of the students were 59.76±11.38 and they were early majority according to the scale evaluation. While a positive moderate correlation was determined between the OISSI subscale levels andindividual innovativeness levels of the students in the study, a positive strong correlation was found between the online information searching strategies andindividual innovativeness (p<0.01). Conclusions: It was observed as a result of the study that as online information searching strategy levels of the students taking the course of information techniques in nursing increased, individual innovativeness increased.Öğe Do the online information searching strategies affect individual innovativeness in nursing students?(2019) Ozden, Gurkan; Cevik, Seher; Citlik Saritas, SeyhanAbstract: Aim: The study was conducted to determine the effect of online information searching strategies on individual innovativeness in students taking the course of information techniques in nursing.Material and Methods: The study was conducted as a descriptive and correlational study. Material and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted. The population of the study consisted of the 1st and 2nd year students of a school of nursing located in Eastern Turkey. The study was completed with 265 students. A personal information form and an information literacy scale were used to collect the data. Results: In the study, it was found that the mean information literacy scores of the participants who took the course on information techniques in nursing and those who did not were respectively 3.92±0.6 and 3.41±0.6, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant (p0.05). The relationship between the information literacy levels of the participants and their weekly times of using the internet and levels of computer usage was significant. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was found that taking the course on information techniques in nursing, affected information literacy to a significant extent. It is recommended to increase information and communication courses and research on this topic in the education system for nursing.Öğe TURKISH VERSION OF THE DUTCH HEART FAILURE KNOWLEDGE SCALE: VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY(Pakistan Cardiac Soc, 2020) Saritas, Seyhan Citlik; Cevik, Seher; Ozden, Gurkan; Salik, SerbulentObjective: To determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale. Methodology: The cross sectional study was composed of patients who were followed up in cardiology clinics of a university hospital in Malatya. Consecutive patients were enrolled in the study. Data were collected using Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale, along with a questionnaire regarding demographic properties. The scale consisted of 15 items, and every item was scored as either 0 or 1. Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis were applied to assessed the Scale validity. Results: Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale reliability was assessed with Cronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient, item-total score correlation, and test-retest analysis, which ranged between 0.70-0.82, 0.54-0.86, and 0.30-0.52, respectively. Conclusion: The results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis supported the single factor scale structure and Confirmatory Factor Analysis yielded good fit indices. The Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale Turkish version is valid, reliable.
