Öğe The Correlation between Social Justice Leadership and Student Alienation(Sage Publications Inc, 2022) Canli, Suzan; Demirtas, HasanPurpose This study aimed to investigate the correlation between social justice leadership levels of school principals and school alienation levels of students in Turkey. Furthermore, it investigated the students' perceptions about social justice leadership and alienation from school and whether there were significant differences based on gender, socioeconomic status and student grade levels. Research Methods The study sample included 493 high school students assigned with the cluster sampling method. The Social Justice Leadership Scale and Student Alienation Scale were used in the study to collect the data. Descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were conducted to analyze the data. Findings It was determined that there were significant differences between student perceptions on school alienation and social justice leadership of school principals based on the school's socioeconomic level, and the student's gender and grade level. There was a significant negative correlation between school alienation and social justice leadership. It was found that social justice leadership was a significant predictor of alienation from school and explained about 23% of the total variance in alienation from school. Implications Based on the study findings, it was concluded that exhibition of social justice leadership behavior by school principals decreased school alienation levels among the students. The level of school alienation of the students attending schools where principals exhibit social justice leadership behavior is expected to be lower.Öğe EVALUATING THE TEACHER SUPERVISION PRACTICES AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN TERMS OF CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING PARADIGM PRINCIPLES(Hacettepe Univ, 2012) Yildirim, M. The research was carried out in the case study (multiple case study), one of the qualitative research designs. The data used in the research were obtained by using semi-structured interview forms. The data obtained were analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. The study population consists of the administrators working in the independent kindergartens in Sanliurfa centrum in the 2018-1019 academic year. The maximum diversity sampling was used in the study. The research study group consists of 29 school administrators and 26 deputy managers working 29 independent kindergartens in Sanliurfa centrum. First of all, regarding the problems experienced in the research, it has been inferred that enough support staff to perform the cleaning and security tasks were not provided to the schools. The administrators have indicated that the number of substitute teachers is high in the system and they do not have the necessary field knowledge as another problem. The fact that dual education is a problem in itself and that the Ministry does not provide a subsidy to kindergartens is one of the findings of the study. Providing schools with a sufficient number of support staff, ending dual education and switching to regular education, abolishing the practice of substitute teachers, and having the Ministry transfer subsidies to schools are proposed solutions developed by administrators.Öğe The views of students and academic staff regarding course contents and teaching-learning process in educational administration and supervision non-thesis master's program(Tuba-Turkish Acad Sciences, 2018) Umur, Zeynep; Demirtas, HasanThe aim of this study is to determine the views of students and academic staff regarding the course contents and teaching learning process in Educational Administration and Supervision non-thesis master's program.
