Öğe Investigation of elementary education students’ Attitudes towards the use of smart boards(T&K Academic, 2018) Gürbüztürk O.The purpose of this research is to investigate the attitudes of elementary education students towards the use of Smart Board (SB) in lessons. The study is based on the associational survey model from quantitative research methods. The study was conducted on students attending at 4th to 8th grades of three schools, both primary and secondary stages, in Malatya province during 2016-2017 academic year. “Smart board attitude scale-SBAS” by Şad (2012) composed of 10 items and 5-point Likert scale was used in order to collect data. The result of the study revealed that elementary education students have a positive attitude on smart board usage in general. There was no significant difference in terms of gender while there was a significant difference in terms of the number of students in the classes, school type and grade. © 2018, T&K Academic. All rights reserved.Öğe Primary school students' parents' level of involvement into their children's education(2013) Şad S.N.; Gürbüztürk O.The aim of this study was to investigate the extent to which parents of elementary students (1st to 5th) participate in their children's education with regard to some variables. The study was designed based on descriptive survey model and comparative and correlational associative models. The sample of the research comprised 1252 parents whose children studied at 1st to 5th classes of six primary schools in Malatya province. The Parental Involvement Scale was used to collect data. As a result of the analysis, it was found out that parents' level of involvement was high for such tasks as communication with children, creating enabling home settings, supporting child's personality development, and helping with homework, but low especially for volunteering. Also mothers were found to support their children's homework significantly more than fathers(?2=.05 and d=.48). Finally, families' monthly income was found to be positively and moderately associated especially with involvement tasks of supporting child's socio-cultural development and creating enabling home settings, and negatively and moderately with volunteering task. © 2013 Educational Consultancy and Research Center.Öğe Realization level of the school experience course activities carried out by the prospective teachers in elementary school teaching department(Inonu and Erciyes University Sample)(Ankara University, 2014) Gürbüztürk O.; Gürleyük G.C.; Sucu H.O.The aim of this study is to determine the application state of the activities within the scope of School Experience Course carried out by the prospective teachers of elementary school teaching. In accordance with this purpose, the design of the study was based on a relational survey model. The sample of the study consisted of 131 third year prospective teachers of elementary school teaching enrolled in the School Experience course at Inonu and Erciyes University Faculty of Education in 2010-2011 academic year spring semester. Data were collected through "School Experience Course Survey" developed by the researchers. The obtained data were analyzed through the SPSS package program using frequency, percentage, mean and chi- square test. Research findings show that in the general sense, prospective teachers have applied the activities within the scope of School Experience Course.
