Öğe Adaptation of the couple relationship skills inventory to Turkish(2025) Kılıç, Nurseven; Keldal, GokayThe Couple Relationship Skills Inventory (CRSI) was developed based on the National Extension Relationship and Marriage Education Model (NERMEM) to measure the relationship skills of individuals. The goal of this study was to make the Turkish adaptation of the CRSI and to examine its psychometric properties. A total of 305 adults (101 male and 204 female) aged 18-62 years old participated in the study. The psychometric properties of the CRSI were examined using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), internal consistency, and criterion-related validity methods. The results of the CFA indicated that the original 32-item, 9-factor form of the CRSI lost its structure in Turkish culture, but it possessed a 27-item and 8-factor structure. The internal consistency of the entire inventory was .86. In the context of criterion-related validity, positive and significant relationships were found between the CRSI and the Perceived Romantic Relationship Quality Scale. In conclusion, the CRSI can be considered a valid and reliable measurement tool for assessing relationship skills of individuals.Öğe Associations of Quality of Family Communication and Well-Being with Marital Attitudes among Turkish Emerging Adults(Univ Alberta Libraries, 2023) Keldal, Gokay; Uslu, Ayse Goek; Tonga, ZahideThe aim of this study is to examine the relationship between Turkish emerging adults' marital attitudes, and their quality of family communication and well-being. The study participants consisted of 386 (266 female, 120 male) never-married emerging adults, selected by the method of convenience sampling. Hierarchical multiple linear regression technique was used for data analysis. The results revealed that emerging adults' quality of family communication and well-being were both predictors of marital attitudes. A higher level of well-being and quality of family communication were associated with more positive attitudes toward marriage.Öğe Predictors of Turkish University students' marital attitudes(Springer, 2020) Keldal, Gokay; Atli, AbdullahIn Turkey, it has been observed that marital attitudes have changed in recent years. As the data collection tools, the UCLA Loneliness Scale and the Five Factor Personality Inventory were used in the study.
