Öğe The relationship between anxiety-depression status and psychosocial adjustments in the patients undergoing liver transplantation(Wiley, 2018) Yildiz, Erman; Kilinc, Gulsen[Abstract Not Available]Öğe The relationship between depression and loneliness levels of the students at the faculty of health sciences and the factors affecting them(Wiley, 2020) Kilinc, Gulsen; Aylaz, Rukuye; Gunes, Guelsen; Harmanci, PinarPurpose The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the loneliness and depression levels of students studying at Inonu University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Departments of Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Audiology and Child Development and the factors that affect these levels. Design and Methods This descriptive cross-sectional study which used a socio-demographic information form, the UCLA Loneliness Scale and the Beck Depression Inventory included 1004 students. Findings According to the results of the research, there was a positive relationship between loneliness and depression levels among university students. Class year, family type, place of residence, mother's education level, and economic situation were important indicators of loneliness and depression. Practice Implications Psychiatric nurses can help students express their psychological difficulties and help them change their behaviors and lifestyles.Öğe The relationship between psychological resilience and life satisfaction in COPD patients(Kare Publ, 2019) Kilinc, Gulsen; Yildiz, Erman; Kavak, FundaObjectives: This study was carried out descriptively in order to determine the relationship between psychological resilience and life satisfaction in COPD. Methods: The study was conducted with 114 COPD patients who were treated in a university hospital's respiratory services department between July 2016 and June 2017. Data were obtained with the Personal Information Form, Resilience Scale for Adults and Life Satisfaction Inventory. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, Kruskal-Wallis Variance, Mann-Whitney U Test, Analysis of Variance and Analysis of Regression were used in the evaluation of data. Results: The mean age of the patients was 70.08 +/- 10.62, the majority (77.1%) were male, 80.6% were married, 86.8% were unemployed, 59.7% had graduated primary school. Total score of Resilience Scale for Adults was 116.43 +/- 19.78 and Life Satisfaction Inventory was 18.70 +/- 6.72. A significant positive correlation was determined between resilience and life satisfaction. Psychological endurance predicts life satisfaction significantly and accounts for 65% of the total variance associated with psychological endurance. Conclusion: According to the results of the study, the psychological endurance levels and life satisfaction of COPD patients were found to be high. When resilience of patients increased, life satisfaction was higher.Öğe The Relationship Between Treatment Adherence and Social Support in Psychiatric Patients in the East of Turkey(W B Saunders Co-Elsevier Inc, 2017) Aylaz, Rukuye; Kilinc, GulsenThis study was conducted to determine the relationship between the adherence to treatment and social support in psychiatric patients. The study was completed with a total of 324 psychiatric patients. The data gathering tools used were Demographics Questionnaire, Morisky Medication Adherence Scale and Multi-Dimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. The study sample consisted of psychiatric patients who were selected from the population by using the simple random sampling method. Among the patients, 50.9% adhered to the treatment, and 14.5% did not. Patients living in city and country-town, with high income and living with family were found to have more social support. A positive, significant relationship was found among scales (p < 0.05). As the mean scores of social support increased, patients' adherence to treatment increased. (C) 2017 Elsevier Inc. We study some inclusion relations, topological and geometric properties of these spaceses. Further, we give the alpha- beta- and gamma-duals of said sequence spaces and characterization of the classes (l ((F) over cap (r, s) , F, p, u) , X) and (l(infinity) ((F) over cap (r, s) , F, p, u) , X).Öğe The transfer of theoretical knowledge to clinical practice by nursing students and the difficulties they experience: A qualitative study(Churchill Livingstone, 2018) Gunay, Ulviye; Kilinc, GulsenBackground: Nursing education contains both theoretical and practical training processes. Clinical training is the basis of nursing education. The quality of clinical training is closely related to the quality of the clinical learning environment. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the transfer of theoretical knowledge into clinical practice by nursing students and the difficulties they experience during this process. Methods: A qualitative research design was used in the study. The study was conducted in 2015 with 30 nursing students in a university located in the east of Turkey, constituting three focus groups. The questions directed to the students during the focus group interviews were as follows: What do you think about your clinical training? How do you evaluate yourself in the process of putting your theoretical knowledge into clinical practice? What kind of difficulties are you experiencing in clinical practices? Results: The data were interpreted using the method of content analysis. Most of the students reported that theoretical information they received was excessive, their ability to put most of this information into practice was weak, and they lacked courage to touch patients for fear of implementing procedures incorrectly. As a result of the analysis of the data, five main themes were determined: clinical training, guidance and communication, hospital environment and expectations. Conclusions: The results of this study showed that nursing students found their clinical knowledge and skills insufficient and usually failed to transfer their theoretical knowledge into clinical practices. The study observed that nursing students experienced various issues in clinical practices. In order to fix these issues and achieve an effective clinical training environment, collaboration should be achieved among nursing instructors, nurses, nursing school and hospital managements. Additionally, the number of nursing educators should be increased and training programs should be provided regarding effective clinical training methods.
