    Views of Waldorf Kindergarten Educators and Parents of Children Who Attend This School on Educational Concepts

    Abstract The aim of this research which subjects the Waldorf approach is to examine the perspectives of manager, teachers and parents about concept of children, school, education and teacher. Thus this research is a qualitative study in the design of a holistic single-case. The population of the study consisted of principles, parents and teachers based on voluntarism in a Waldorf Kindergarten in İstanbul. In this study, the data were analyzed by using content analysis based on data from individual interviews. The data were encoded in the analysis and the relationships between these codes were identified. According to the results, it can be said that in the Waldorf preschool, teachers and parents have adopted the perspective of the child to the Waldorf approach and that they consider the child as an individual rather than as an asset to be shaped. In addition, manager and teachers expressed the concept of education as an integral part of life in the development of the individual; it is seen that parents define education with both a person's development and a socialist point of view. As a result, it can be said that the educational principles of the Waldorf approach are reflected in the views of administrators, teachers and parents on education related concepts.
